The owner and I used to pole dance together a very long time ago. I was one of her first instructors. Prior to her opening her business, I moved away from Long Island. I just recently moved back and wanted to show my support for her business. Women supporting women! After signing up for class, I received a text message from her for a refund because "I wouldn't learn anything new." I told her that I had been out of practice for a few months and was just looking for some movement. No reply. I drove 35 minutes to take this class and she turned me away at the door. She claimed that there was a lot of drama between past instructors and students (from the studio I used to teach in). I haven't taught or lived on Long Island for over a decade. The owner was incredibly judgemental towards me, implying that I was present only to incite drama. I explained that I was only trying to show her my support. She knew nothing of my intentions and she flat out judged me. In my opinion, I believe she was intimidated because I have more experience and this field. I can only hope that those who enter these doors don't receive the same judgment...

I came to fly high fit when I was a little bit chubby and I was nervous and I don’t think I could even do much, but Geeta the class instructor was so nice welcoming and warm and help me with each step and each class. I got a little bit stronger and got to do a little bit more and see my accomplishments and was so proud of myself. She believed in me more than I believed in myself. She gave and still gives me the courage to go a little further and push myself to my full potential. Which I and every single person has in themselves. I came to class alone. I am so glad I did it. She helped my core strength get stronger as well as my back strength. Every class at Fly High Fit is so fun! Invigorating! And exciting! And you always leave each class proud of yourself! We had my 7-year-old daughter’s birthday party at Fly High Fit in Hempstead, and it was absolutely amazing! Our instructor, Geeta, was incredible—so attentive, patient, and fantastic with all the kids. Everyone had such a great time on the hammocks, and the energy in the room was just perfect for a celebration. The glow party decorations were beautiful and really made the whole space feel special and festive.
