Lorenz Latin Dance Studio- Nassau — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

I had been searching for a Salsa studio and instructor(s) to learn Salsa, get some exercise (both physical and mental), make some new connections and have some fun. Everyone that I have met is incredibly friendly, patient, kind, professional, informative and welcoming. I have also enjoyed meeting and getting to know my fellow students who are very friendly, supportive and fun.

Prior to the first class beginning, I wasn’t sure what to expect and felt a little apprehensive however, by the end of class, I felt relaxed, excited, supported and looked forward to the next class.

All the instructors are exceptional and have surpassed my expectations. I have primarily worked with Victor (Vic) who is patient, immensely skilled, makes learning Salsa uncomplicated and easy to follow with his expertise and has a great sense of humor. Vic is amazingly versatile in his ability to teach all students – no matter how fast or slow they learn. Vic breaks down the shines-steps and dance patterns to whatever extent is necessary, as well as repeating them as required and with the utmost of patience. There is a perfect balance of learning and practicing shines and then putting them into practice by rotating through partners thereby exposing everyone to multiple partners and styles.

And what a bonus: After a few classes, a demonstration is provided at the end of class that may be videoed, so that it may be reviewed whenever desired to practice.

I have also worked with Kevin and Alex who are also exceptional. The assistants, Lynn and Amanda and managers, Jen and Jaz are all amazing; they are all professional, patient, kind and supportive.

Within a very short period, everyone is dancing and improving every week, gaining confidence and acquiring new skills. I am so thankful to everyone at Lorenz studio for providing such an incredible and amazing atmosphere to learn and develop Salsa skills and fuel my newly acquired passion and assisting on my Salsa journey!

I started dancing salsa without knowing the most basic step when I entered through the doors of this studio and within the first month the way the instructors break down the steps with simplicity and patience so that not only I, but the whole class could dance the basics made me want to learn here. However, what really made me stay was the atmosphere of friendliness and fun that this studio has cultivated not only in classes but in socials as well. From the instructors to fellow students whether advanced or beginner, everyone greets each other with a friendly hello and then have fun dancing with each other at whichever level the person dancing is at. This has been one of the greatest choices I have made in my life and would recommend anyone that if they are looking to learn salsa, even with two left feet, they’ll be able to make sure you leave every class with one right foot, one left foot, and a smile...

It has been a passion of mine to take Salsa classes. Persuading my husband (who has two left feet) to take classes with me at the Floral Park Lorenz studio was the best idea to recommend because it has turned out to be one of the best experiences we have done as a couple. Vic (my instructor😀) Alex and Ralph are an amazing team. They are great, patient and fun instructors who most importantly have taught my husband how to really dance Salsa!!!!!😍 The Friday socials and the monthly partner work workshops are wonderful.
