Lulu Island Nails II — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

My mother has been coming to this nail salon for over a year now and has consistently seen Coco, who is an amazing nail tech. Unfortunately, the owner has an issue with my mother making appointments solely with Coco and this owner has been super unprofessional. Recently, every time my mother makes a manicure / pedicure appointment with Coco, the owner will always attempt to have someone else do her pedicure instead of Coco even though she made an appointment PRIOR. He has also attempted to do this with me, even though I also make appointments with Coco. Truthfully, I think it’s because Coco is such an amazing nail tech that they are a cash grab place and don’t want her spending time doing pedicures and will squeeze clients with her to do manicures. But if appointments are made with a specific tech, that should be respected and yet the owner still attempts to have someone else do my mother’s pedicure. My mom has been seeing Coco and prefers seeing her and makes appointments to see her and tips her well, and yet the owner just has an issue with that apparently and ended up blocking my mother’s number from being able to make appointments at the nail salon. Apparently, this isn’t the first time the salon has done this as I’ve read from past reviews. VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. It’s unfortunate because Coco deserves all the love for the amazing work she does, but this owner has completely ruined this experience.

I just got my nails done at Lulu Island Nails II, and I have to say it was a perfect experience! Nail artist Coco is amazing because she was incredibly meticulous throughout the entire process—from shaping my nails to applying polish. Her attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. She also has such a gentle touch, making the whole experience super comfortable. On top of that, she gave me great suggestions based on my nail shape and skin tone, and the final result exceeded my expectations!

The salon itself was also fantastic because it was spotlessly clean and well-organized. All the tools were thoroughly sanitized, which made me feel really confident and at ease. Throughout the service, Coco was so patient and made sure to confirm every detail with me, which felt very thoughtful. Afterward, my friends couldn’t stop complimenting my nails and even asked where I got them done!

Because this experience was so amazing, I’ll definitely come back to see Coco again. Highly recommend her and Lulu Island Nails II to anyone looking for...

I had been a loyal customer for almost 7 years. One day, I had called to make an appointment and the phone just kept ringing and ringing. I tried to call on my work phone and it went straight through.
