Nice restaurant/bar. The place is comfortable with options to either sit at a table or at the bar. There were several TVs at the bar, so there are options depending on what sports are on. The menu was pretty good with enough options to appease most. I can't say enough about the Steak Tidbits - they were excellent. I ordered them as a starter, but had I known I'd like them so much, I'd have ordered another dish of them. I also ordered the 'B.O.Y.B. (Build Your Own Burger) - which I picked a simple bacon cheeseburger in so many words. It was pretty tasty. My companion ordered a vegetable wrap, which looked quite good itself. I'm not a beer connoisseur, but there seemed to be a pretty good selection for those who do. The drinks I did order were well made. The bartenders were attentive and very friendly. This place shares the space with a few other businesses, including another bar/restaurant. If I had a complaint, it's the parking lot design - not the Irish Poet's fault at all. The lot is poorly designed and while I get what the intention was, it doesn't work. If you use the lot, exercise caution due to the lack of room and bad drivers. I believe there is municipal parking behind the buildings if the lot is full or if you don't feel like dealing with the lot at all. Overall a comfortable place with good food, a good menu, and friendly staff, Definitely a place I'd happily return to. In fact, I want to go back just for those steak tidbits alone.

We came here because the restaurant next door was snippy and it was indeed a happy accident! The New England clam chowder was excellent. Very fresh and lots of clams. Most places give you mostly potatoes but that was not the case here. The waitress was great. Very friendly and very fast. We ordered lunch and for two people, it came out to close to $60 for lunch. Manhattan has indeed arrived on Long Island! Regardless, we had a nice time and would come back again. The restaurant's food was great, the service was great and the interior was very clean. Nice place for date night, large groups or a game.

Great Irish fare and a reasonably priced menu. Specials today included potato soup, so we had to try it. Glad we did! Our first time but we'll be back soon. Update: As always, the food and service were wonderful. I have to comment on the choice of music tho. Instead of the usual Irish bands of the 80s 90s and 00s, it was non-stop genuine American country music: torch and twang, all male, testosterone laden ballads. Not a female voice to be heard. Not what you'd expect or appreciate in a traditional Irish pub. Minus 1 star for that gaff.

This spot is everything you’d want in a neighborhood restaurant — welcoming, cozy, and serving up food that leaves you planning your next visit before the check even arrives.

Let’s start with the smash burgers — hands down some of the best around. Perfectly seared, juicy, and full of flavor, they strike that ideal balance between crispy edges and tender insides. And if you’re in the mood for comfort food, the shepherd’s pie is a standout. Whatever you order, it will be fresh. Personally, my daughter & I love the chicken sandwich (I always ask for it tossed in hot sauce!).

The decor shows real pride in the space. Everything was carefully planned with the goal of making their customers comfortable and happy to stay a while. You can still have a conversation even when it’s crowded. If you’re there to watch a game, there are plenty of tv’s throughout.

Staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and you can tell they care about your experience. There’s plenty of parking in the back, which makes things easy, and the layout includes multiple spaces for private parties.

The vibe is comfortable and casual — come as you are — but everything is still spotlessly clean, including the beautiful & well maintained bathrooms, which don’t go unnoticed (especially by those of us who pay attention to the details!).

They also host regular special events so there really is something for everyone....

Nice local restaurant - I'll be back. This location is 50% bar and 50% restaurant. I did see some families eating here, but I personally would not being young children. My wife and I were walk in's around 6/7pm on a Saturday night. There was not a table available but we agreed to wait at the bar for the anticipated 30 min for a table. The bar location was nice. We stood along the divider between the restaurant and bar where they have a standing table. We were served quickly and my mixed drink was rather good. We were called for our table well in advance of our 30 min wait, which was nice. Started with the potato skin appetizer which was also rather good. It would have been nicer if the toppings were more evenly dispersed but overall it was good. I know, it sounds picky but some potato pieces had cheese, bacon and scallion, while others had nothing but cheese. I then had the steak tidbit sandwich. It was good, I would recommend. Service could be a bit slow at times, it took us a while to get the check and pay, but it was a fairly busy Saturday night. Relaxing and very nice atmosphere. Even though the place was crowded, it was not so loud that you could not talk. We'll be back, either for lunch with the family, or for dinner just...
