Review of the glove breaking-in service as well as my experience with them afterward.
Brought an A2000 in and was given two options, $45 for steaming the glove, $60 for the full break-in to make the glove game ready. We had been working on the glove for a couple of weeks so it was already started, but A2000s are notoriously hard to break in. They did a nice job of breaking in the hinges, but overall an underwhelming job. Glove wasn't quite "game ready".
I did voice my disappointment and was contacted by management before the day was over to discuss. They indicated that they don't go too far with the break-ins as people have different preferences on how they like them, which I get. Placed my custom order and was told it would take 5 days to complete which was okay with me. 7 days pass, didn't get any calls from them so I went in, they said they called me twice but that is completely false. They blamed it on me for not answering the phone. They said they didn't receive the picture I wanted, but they showed me the picture on their screen when I was there to make sure they got it, and they did. But they say that they didn't, even though I saw it right in front of me. I'm now 2 weeks, went there again, said there was a problem and tried calling me twice. Again, did not get any calls from them, and we double checked my number and it was the correct number. They just decided to lie to me again. And now this is attempt number 3. Read moreI ordered from the "team store" and received a jersey with the same number another teammate and I had both requested. We are now 5 weeks into a 6 week season and I have not received a jersey with my new number or a refund like a requested when I canceled the 2nd, corrected jersey, four weeks ago. We've had two deliveries of jerseys for the rest of the team since then and the only mention is they're waiting for some pattern to come in which would be understandable if two other orders hadn't been completed during that time.
