I honestly don't love to leave low star reviews but I feel like I should just to help others in case they want to get the same service done.
I made an appointment and asked for gel x and let them know i would pay the extra $10 for french tip. When I got there I sat down and showed the nail artist the shape and french tip i wanted to get done but he wasn't really understanding so I just hoped he understood I wanted the french tip and shape that was in the picture just with a different color. I didn't really notice anything until he started shaping them and they weren't really the same as the picture I had shown him but l was hoping he would just file them down later but he never did.
Then he started painting the whole nail a solid color. I'm a very non-confrontational person and I didn't know how to tell him that's not what I wanted especially when he didn't really understand what I was saying because I had asked him a questions and he couldn't answer me back so I think there was a language barrier.
I started feeling like I wanted to cry and felt my stomach hurting because I knew I didn't like them whatsoever and these were for a really important day. I let him finish and used all my courage to ask the front desk lady if they could do the french tip because I had shown him the picture but he did something completely different.
She spoke to him about what I wanted and he seemed angry and when he started fixing them he was being very aggressive and harsh with my nails even the lady next to me told her nail artist "thank you so much for being gentle with my nails". I'm also only 17 so I didn't want to get into any issues but it did bother me.
In the end I just left with what he did because I just wanted to leave and I still tipped $20 which I now regret.
I feel like I wasted 75 dollars which my dad gave me since these were my nails for prom. I also don't usually spoil myself but since these were for a very important day I asked my dad if he could pay for me. I'm not sure what happened this time around because the last 3 times I quite liked the way my nails came out.
It is quite unfortunate and I really wish I could get a refund.
My father works very hard and to him he was paying for his daughter to get her nails done the way she wanted for a very special day.
My nails also feel very sensitive and hurt when applying pressure in any type of way. In case you get the same nail artist I had his name was Bear.
One more thing just to make it known when he was fixing my nails and doing the french tip he said something about the french tip being 50 dollars extra which really made my heart start to beat fast because that was really outside my budget and the front desk had already told me it was only $10 extra. Thankfully that wasn't true and it ended up only being $85 with a $10 coupon. Which came out to $75
I attached a picture of my nails and the inspiration i asked for.
I do just want to thank the lady at the front because she wasn't mean in any type of way when I brought up what had happened but I was scared to get back into the chair with the nail artist because at the end of the day the health and fate of my nails are up to them.
Truly I wish things would have gone better and my mom and sister were planning to get their vacation nails done here but after this I think they'll go somewhere else.
Shoutout to Kerry who did my nails the very first time l went and treated me with so much care and gentleness. - she did the solid red nails attached...
Read moreI came here with my mother for a few various services. While she had a manicure I was getting a full leg waxed. I noticed the wax she was using was a roll on version that was skipping over areas as if the wax was not hot enough or there wasn’t enough wax in the tube. She switched between this and using soft wax with strips. She also used very little wax during this and was doing areas the size of a quarter at a time (you can see the small sticks in the picture that was used on my full leg, also to mentioned one stick was used during my entire service which is not sanitary). This method left me with hair still on 60% of my legs. I pointed this out to the waxer and she asked me to point out the areas I see hair and I tried to but I could see the back of my leg. After fixed a few small spots with the same method, I told her it was fine because my skin was already irritated and I knew I was going to mention it to the counter ladies. I left the room and my mom was already getting her pedicure so I sat down and had my pedicure done. When I went to pay I explain this situation and the women at the front desk said oh we can have someone else fix it for you but I had already been there for 2 hours and I will be out of town tomorrow and the rest of the week. I asked her is she would still charge me for the wax and she said yes, I explained that I would be willing to pay half price but not the full $60 since my legs were still covered in hair. She then told me if I don’t pay full price then I would have the police called on me. The police came and we had a resolution of redoing the service. After the second time she started tweezing hairs practically and I left after and other 45 minutes. I still have hair on my legs and the customer service is absolutely terrible. There is no accountability on their end and I was spoken to as if I had made up having the hair on my legs. I let them feel the hair but they continued gas lighting me and said you will be charged full price because we used our time and services. I would’ve been okay with paying 50% for a 50% done job but they would not accept that. Not to mention the waxing area was dirty and had other individuals hairs scattered on the bed and in the station....
Read moreIt was my first time coming here. They have a great coupon system if you’re a first time visitor.
My mom and I both got the golden spa pedicure. It could be my mistake, I thought this would be done in the back so when I requested that room, they stated the chairs outside are better. I didn’t come for the chairs but came for the privacy so they transitioned us to the back. The reason we opted for this pedicure was the 25 minute massage. My mom’s nail tech, Ellie really put in work. my tech, Carmen did not even bother to clean under my nails, which I had to ask her and she really just rubbed cream on my legs. Had to ask her if she could please clean up around the cuticles and under the nail. I also asked her to help me match my gel color with the regular pedicure polish color, she was so disinterested and I now have different colors on my hands and feet.
I had UV gel and wanted builder gel/a structured manicure. I was told they are the same thing, however, they are not. Nail tech tried to encourage me to do UV gel for $80. I also noticed that the women around me that were being pushed into getting UV gel. I opted for a regular manicure, and then was told since I’m not getting UV gel id be charged for removal, which was just using the nail drill to remove the product. Not a problem. I showed the tech the color I wanted - a pink. She stated it was a mix of bubble bath and funny bunny, which was just a skin nude color and I told her it’s not pink at all. Then the tech next to her started speaking in their language, and when asked what they were discussing, my tech stated that they both think this color is better. I did not want my nail to be the same color as my skin and it was very evident that when I said these are my nails and I prefer the color that I showed her and she said that she would be able to do ( A PINK) they were uncomfortable. I have attached a picture of my nails to show you guys how common of a color this is. But I’m happy with the outcome.
I will come back for the manicure, would never get a specialized pedicure again as it’s a waste of money. My mom got a great neck massage from Maria. Total spent around 260...
