The Art Studio — Attraction in Town of Hempstead

I visited the Art Studio for the first time for an art show featuring various artists from the community. It was a warm and inviting space with some beautiful pieces being sold and showcased. I met a few artists and spoke at length with the owners. Everyone was incredibly passionate and happy to help with any questions/requests.

A friend and I both wanted the same art piece- the owner Dani, SO talented, offered to create a new piece so we’d each get something we loved. Another friend was connected directly to an artist whose pieces were sold out and he met her the following week to hand deliver two pieces that weren’t at the show.

We had a great birthday party here this month with a group of 5 year olds and it was so fun! Planning was super easy from the beginning - Zahra and Danielle are so organized and have such great planning foresight. They touch base from beginning to day of, and even after the party! We were able to stop into the studio a few days before to pick out our painting subject for my daughter's party, and Zahra was so insightful and helpful in giving us ideas to gear the painting to something age-appropriate, but still really fun, for the party's age group. The teachers, Chloe and Angelica, were also really easygoing and sweet, and were great at pacing and targeting the painting to the young girls group. My 6-year-old daughter has been enrolled in the weekly kids art class since September and she is loving it! She is always so excited when it is "art class day". We love that Danielle teaches about various artists and their mediums with stories about their lives and examples of their work. I love that my daughter gets exposed to so many different types of art and gets to explore so many different mediums from paint, to collage, to paper mache, to mixed media and that was only in the first 4 months of classes. The space is so warm and welcoming and my daughter's creativity has been growing so much as she is encouraged to use her imagination to really enhance her natural artistic abilities.
