Pre-pandemic my daughter‘s wedding was all set in stone. All we needed to do was wait for the date.However less than three weeks prior to my daughters wedding, our original florist screwed us. (Sorry but there was no nicer way to say it.) After making at least 25 calls to Florist they were all too busy , and all too understaffed due to pandemic, to handle another big job. Especially under such short notice. Another florist highly recommended Mike’s florist in Oceanside, but he said he also may be too busy ,but give them a try, I’m sure glad I did. After speaking with Mike, he advised me that he too was super busy. However what separates the men from the boys in this situation was Mike felt so bad for us and he just really wanted to help and find me other solutions. After he thought about it , Mike Was able to put me in touch with one of his design consultant named Maky Sanchez. What a businessman although he could not physically do the job himself, he committed to help support Maky and anything she needed to get our job done, and he did. Thank you sooooo much Mike‘s florist....

Maky immediately return my call , and set up an appointment to meet us at Mike’s flower shop. She Reassured us of her commitment to the job, her loyalty, and her personality made us feel we were in good hands. Maky reviewed everything that we were looking for, and Maky listened 100%. Although hydrangeas are not cheap flowers, my wife and I feel they are big fillers , and really didn’t want that in our centerpieces, Maky listened. Despite the fact that due to timing we were not able to see an actual prototype or sample Maky far exceeded our expectations and she delivered. When we walked into the ballroom we were totally blown away by how beautiful the flowers looked.

I'm in Florida, and needed help ordering a plant for a dear friend's funeral on Long Island, NY. Following the link on the funeral home's website, I found Flowers by Mike in Oceanside. I called the number, and MIKE ANSWERED THE PHONE. What a refreshing difference from trying to communicate with an online middleman service that basically farms your order out to any anonymous local florist! Mike was kind, patient and extremely helpful. He helped me to order a beautiful ceramic dish garden that was way more affordable than what I could have purchased online. It gives me great peace to know that this exquisite plant garden will be with my friend's family for years, even decades to come. Mike then guided me through the process of leaving a heartfelt and appropriate message on the accompanying card. Now, as if this wasn't enough, this morning I received an email from Mike, saying that my order had been delivered, even earlier than I'd expected. I hope to stop in and say hi and to thank Mike when I'm back on the Island. He is the perfect example of why we need to support our local...

Stopped in last month, first time ever and based on customer reviews, first impressions from the street was WOW. Shop front is beautiful and when you walk inside its even more impressive. Received a warm welcome from Mike the owner and his staff even though they seemed extremely busy . I had stopped in for some flowers for my daughter guidance teacher. Had thoughts on a bouquet but when I turned to the cooler there was a beautiful vase of flowers with my name on it, the only 1 in the store that early in the morning....amazing florist and flowers looked so fresh throughout the store. This is now my go 2 for any occasion. THANK YOU !!! Oh and when I walked through the school everyone was complimentary. The teacher who I had gifted them to was a gasp at how beautiful they looked.
