The PC Guys: A Beacon of Integrity and Incredible Service! Back in February, I faced a laptop crisis. My 2-year-old laptop (windows), purchased for $575 and used solely for word processing, decided to quit on me. I initially took it to a chain store, Microcenter, where I was quoted over $500 for the repair, with the added blow that I would lose everything on my laptop. This was completely unacceptable for a relatively new machine. After a disappointing visit to a local cell phone repair shop in Wantagh, because they could not help me. I was thankfully referred to The PC Guys by this cell repair shop. I reached out to them, and they got back to me immediately. Peter's response was a breath of fresh air; he instantly told me the Microcenter quote was "way too much" and assured me they could help me far better. Life got a bit crazy, and I didn't bring my laptop in right away. To my absolute surprise and delight, Peter followed up with me to see if I still needed assistance – a level of proactive customer service you rarely see these days! When I finally brought my laptop in on a Tuesday afternoon, I met Paul. And the story ends beautifully: my laptop was not only up and running but back in my hands the NEXT DAY! The price was nowhere near what Microcenter had quoted, and best of all, everything on my laptop was saved and restored. I truly cannot thank them enough. If that sad day comes again and I need computer repair service, I won't hesitate for a second – I know exactly where I'm going. And when I'm ready to purchase a new machine, The PC Guys will be my first stop, long before any big box store. Read moreI brought in my broken 2021 iMac a couple of months ago to get a quote. I had asked them to call me to follow up with a price and to see if I would decide going on with it. (I left my name and phone number). They had told me it could take a while due to the amount of products that come in daily. I didn’t stress. A month flew by, then another one, and I decide to call in to see what the wait was about.
Guy with the glasses told me that they did have my iMac and to come in. I came in the day after and he broke the news to me that they tried reaching me and I didn’t answer, (not true and have proof) which lead to them throwing out the iMac I worked so hard to get. He told me to come in the week after again since he said that they recently threw it out so they could retrieve it. Turns out the guy was just too scared to tell me that they really had gotten rid of it so he had his boss tell me while he hid behind him. I wish they could’ve tried to figure something out for me instead of giving up and blaming me. Read moreThe Gentleman at The Mac PC Guys are absolutely the best IMac repair and configuration experts I’ve ever came across. Wish I knew about them many years ago and certainly would have used their services back then for my out of warranty iMac repairs. They are actually more knowledgeable than the Apple tech personnel. They are also certified by apple and have the certificates proudly displayed. I had some issues with my Mid 2017 imac. Turned out to be hard drive issues. They replaced it, took care of all backing up , upgraded to 4 times the capacity with much better parts then what Apple provides. Tuned my iMac to perform faster and better. What’s even more amazing is Co-Owner Peter. One of the most friendliest, professional and caring person you can come across. I had some strange home network issues unrelated to my hardware issues and upon mentioning this, literally spent hours to help identify it and work out a solution. He saved the day and much more.
