Yesterday I had an extremely sick 3 year old with a high fever, chills and he could barely walk. I walked in the door holding him and my 10 month old baby alone. My hands were completely full. When walking in my son started crying and threw up all over the chair and floor in the office. The lady at the front desk looked at me and told me to sign in. NOT ONE PERSON who worked there came to help. NOT ONE person there asked If they could give me something to clean it up. NOT ONE person asked if they could lend a hand in any way. Mind you I was carrying a purse, a diaper bag, a 3 year old and a 10 month old. They just handed me a bucket for my son. A complete stranger shot up, ran to the bathroom and started cleaning my sons throw up because I clearly had my hands completely full and couldn't do it. I couldn't just set my 10 month old down to roam around freely and needed to also comfort my child. I was in complete tears out of worry for my child and out of anger and embarrassment. THANK YOU to the complete stranger who helped me. We waited for a VERY VERY long time to be seen and the nurse who worked with us was very kind and sweet but I am disgusted how the situation was handled when walking in. While waiting another person came in and sat in the spot my son threw up before I could stop her and it had only been wiped down with paper towels from the bathroom thanks to the kind stranger and not even sanitized. Even another stranger asked if I would like some water for my son who was clearly not well but not ONE person in the front came to assist and I don't think they ever actually cleaned the spot where my son had gotten sick. After being there for 2 hours we were sent to the hospital and I have learned my lesson that if my child is EVER sick like that again to take him straight in. Besides the kind strangers who helped and the nurse who was kind I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO UR MEDICINE URGENT CARE AGAIN. People pay a lot of money to go there and have hope they and their loved ones can be in good hands and I was disgusted by the lack of care and empathy. I am only giving 1 star for the nice nurse who actually showed that she cared but everyone else I dealt with was terrible....

—PREFACE— If SUZANNE BRENDZE “MD” walks in the room WALK OUT. She’s rude, only wants to ask questions and come up with a diagnosis based on those questions. Tried telling me it was a typical sore throat and didn’t find the need to run tests. This was the worst feeling I’ve ever had and she just tried brushing it off. I had to ask her to run tests!
The receptionist is rude and incompetent. Purposely spelled my name wrong multiple times (This is the first time anyone has ever added a Z, C or E when I say B. (By the way, she has my Med card infront of her).....and after fully verifying my identity (with my ID, insurance card) she asked me WHAT MY DATE OF BIRTH WAS!!!! I said it’s on my ID that’s you’re looking at that has a picture of ME ON IT!!!
They have 10 assistants to every “doctor”, so they’re all sitting around talking at their computers shouting patients test results saying “room 4 is positive, room 5’s test results are negative”, I CAN HEAR EVERYTHING THEYRE SAYING!!!
I waited 15 minutes to be seen which wasn’t bad at all! They even did all my vitals within a minute of me being there! (This is for the 1 star ⭐️ I gave). • with all the assistants sitting around not doing anything I would have hoped this was the case.
The Doctor - She finally decided to make her way over to me after 50 minutes of waiting. As I stated before she wanted to just brush me off. She barely looked in my throat, and touched my throat for two seconds with no pressure.
Then tells me I don’t need any antibiotics and to just take Tylenol (WHICH I TOLD HER I HAD ALREADY BEEN TAKING FOR 3 weeks!!)
I saw my actual doctor the next day and he said antibiotics won’t help with a virus but WILL help prevent any infections which he’d be happy to give but said to take a different prescription to drastically reduce the inflammation. Guess what, it wasn’t Tylenol and I’m already feeling better!
So please, if you really want to be treated with care and given something that will help you, don’t come here, go to your...
Read moreThe one and only star is for the awesome x-ray tech who was the highlight of my experience. I came here after falling down my stairs and spraining my ankle. I explained to each staff member that I would need a travel note as I was supposed to go on a work trip to Denver later in the day and won't be able to drive myself to Buffalo and then crutch myself around an airport and another city for a week with my injury. At first, they told me it would be a HIPAA violation to write a travel letter because of a sprained ankle (clearly they tell patients anything that will try to shut them up???). Sorry, I'm not ignorant. Then, the nurse practitioner said it would be an ethics issue for him to write a letter saying my injury prevented me from traveling as I "would be walking in two days." Complete and utter disrespect for their patients and very obviously tried to get out of it by saying it would be a "violation." You guys might want to come up with better excuses for your laziness.
I am appalled at the way this was handled and the way I was treated - like my injury was invalid and I should have put myself through more pain because "people travel with sprained ankles all the time." Yeah, let me just drive my car with sprained ankle, get to long term parking, drag my luggage while on crutches and then take public transportation for a week in a city that I don't know. Thanks for all your help Urgent Care!! Your staff really knew how to diagnose my softball-sized ankle by barely touching my toes! And they clearly know my body so much better than I do to let me know I'd be walking in two days!
I was also assured that I would be given a note that covers travel emergencies and can be presented to an airline. When I asked for it, it suddenly became a "violation."
So much for helping your patients.
I do not recommend coming here for anything and I will most certainly not be returning here for anything in the future. The nurse practitioner on...
