I have stayed in several hotels in Henrietta over the past few months, son is a student out there. I am not a "Everything has to be perfect" type of guy, but for the price, I would like certain things. When I checked in, they didn't have the person in front of me in their computer, so took quite a while to get him checked in. When I got there I asked if I could stay in a single. I was not sure if my son would be staying there or not, so I said I wanted a double (what I had reserved). The front desk person apparently was not told what rooms were clean, so she left, had to go upstairs somewhere to get a housekeeping list. By the time I got checked in there were 5 others behind me waiting to check in. I did get a choice of what floor I wanted. I choose the second floor. ||||First thing I noticed was the smell. It is a "non-smoking" hotel but apparently was not enforced. In fact, a previous person staying in my room had fixed a plastic bag over the smoke detector to keep it from going off. I didn't want to try to balance on the chair to try to take it off, so trusted the heat detector in the room to alert me if there was a fire. I was not going to be cooking in the room. Since there was no coffee maker, I wanted to heat up some water in the microwave for tea, I looked through the cabinets for mug, a pot, anything to use in the microwave or on the stove, there is nothing in the room. I stopped by the desk and asked for something to heat water in a microwave, like a mug. I was given a plastic cup, like the ones in the bathroom, not microwave safe. If you want to use the microwave or stove, bring your own dishes I guess, it says you can request dishes/ pots at the front desk, but didn't work for me. ||||After I did get past the smoke smell (and opened up the window to let some fresh air in, they opened about 3 inches), I noticed the bed was small. I have a queen bed at home, this was not a queen. I also have a full, and pretty sure this was smaller than a full. Two people could fit, but would not be comfortable, unless you really, really wanted to cuddle together.||||I went out for a hockey game, got back about 10:30. From then until about 1:30 it sounded like someone above me was moving beds around. I couldn't tell exactly what time because the alarm clock display was broken. I am used to hotel room noise, not expecting quiet, this was really, really loud. I left the TV on to try to drown out some of the banging. I couldn't really watch it because it is a smaller 19 inch (about), set down on a lower table, so laying on the bed, you couldn't really see it, but I could at least listen. The light from the TV did help me to get across the room, there was only one plug by the bed (which you had to move the bed to get to), so if you wanted the alarm clock and a cell phone, you could not use the light. ||||I was awake early, and got a shower. Got about 3 hours of sleep. Heard about the grab and go breakfast, so at least I could get a cup of coffee and something to eat on my way out. The "grab and go" breakfast has a pot of hot water, a pot of coffee, two varieties of Coffee mate creamer, two varieties of crunchy granola bars, and some mini-muffins wrapped in plastic. Just as a top off to the trip, there was half a cup of coffee left. Really, hot water and one type of coffee (no de-calf or anything), having it empty was not cool. I had reserved the hotel in part because it bragged about its grab and go breakfast. ||||I posted a picture of the view from my room. Although there was truck noise, and the giant dumpster right below my window, the other side of the hotel was up against the freeway, so I think I was on the quieter side. But this is certainly not a hotel with a nice view. ||||This is probably not the worst hotel I have stayed in. I have traveled a lot, and stayed in some pretty sketchy hotels, but this was certainly very low on my list. Might be good for a longer stay, and price was OK, but if you have a choice there are many nicer hotels within a 5 minute drive, one of which I will be using the next time I...
Read more#BEWARE #HOTELTHEFT On Monday November 27th and Tuesday the 28th, the last of my (3) packages were delivered at the #ExtendedStayAmericaSuites hotel reception. Delivery of the packages were running late, as they were originally scheduled to arrive prior to my hotel check out on Sunday, November 26th, 2023. I called the hotel front desk the evening of November 27th, to explain and request that a.) I had already checked out the prior day and b.) I would be returning to the hotel on December 16th (3 weeks later) if they could stick a post it note on my packages and keep them for me. Front desk confirmed that (2) two of the packages were received that day. The packages were located in the office and my post-it note request would be completed. The third package was delivered by FedEx Tuesday morning, November 28th. As promised, the morning of Saturday, December 16th I drove back to Rochester, NY to pick up my deliveries. None of the (3) three packages could be located. I left my name and number with the front desk, and was informed once the manager was to arrive at the hotel later that morning, that she would look into this and give me a call. Later that evening, I returned to the hotel a second time to retrieve my packages as no one could be bothered to return my call during the day. The evening front desk clerk started her shift and was not aware of the problem and once again looked for the packages herself without success. I was given the hotel manager's (Angelina Borrero) business card to reach out to her. The next morning, I wrote an email to her and explained my situation. I also provided images of the tracking numbers and history, names of who signed for the packages and a screenshot of my call log to the hotel on Nov. 27th. I even provided the photo from the Amazon carrier leaving the packages at the front desk area. The hotel manager quickly replied and informed me she would look at the video footage and get back to me. I finally did get a reply from the hotel manager 10 days later. Her email reply was a short, simple one "Good morning. These packages were returned". I wrote back to her and informed her, all tracking numbers showed delivery to the hotel, and no further transport activity thereafter. I've also disclosed to her that a refund was never issued to my credit card and her explanation was invalid and non-supportive. I've since asked her to provide me with the new carrier information and new tracking numbers. The hotel manager has failed to reply to my email ever since. I've drawn the conclusion that hotel personnel stole all (3) three packages. A total value of $210 of Christmas gifts I'll never recover. I've since proceeded to complete a police report with the Henrietta State Trooper. One thing is for sure, I'll never book any accommodations at that hotel again or any of the other locations since they steal from...
Read moreSo I booked this “ hotel “ visiting home and went into a room with BED BUGS. I didn’t make it a big issue for the simple fact I’m a general manager at a hotel and I didn’t wanna put the hotel on blast. But since the manager ANGELIZE is unprofessional with a ghetto attitude I figured why not. When I checked into the room I put a hot iron on the bed to bring potential bed bugs up since they hate heat and will come to the surface. Sure enough they came up. I took a video/picture and she said “ that is NOT a bed bug “ . First mistake because no matter what the customer is always right babygirl. It’s your job to figure out the RECOVERY of the situation. Using hand language, cutting me off, and not trying to give me not even a percentage of money back is unprofessional. I would’ve taken a credit or SOMETHING being that I paid for a night stay and never even got to lay in bed comfortably after driving hours during the night and most of the day visiting home for a funeral. The hallways smell like a wet dog. The furniture is stained and dingy. I can honestly see why they don’t charge incidentals because the whole hotel is a incidental within it self. As of for you ANGELIZE - I suggest you work on your professionalism and learn how to work with people better to run a better functioning hotel. Your attitude is crazy and I don’t even know HOW you got that position seeing the way you treat your guests. As I was at the front desk waiting on you to assist me- you literally dismissed another guest asking for a ice machine as you were talking to a coworker about something that wasn’t even work related. Your a mess. Your hotel is a mess. Get a better blazer. Yours looked cheap and dingy like the hotel you run. I treat ALL my guests how I’d wanna be treated. I make sure all my rooms are up to my standers so my guest can have a pleasant stay. I TREAT PEOPLE HOW I WANNA BE TREATED. Cutting guests off and using hand gestures is not it baby do better by your guests. I’ll NEVER book at this location ever again. ANGELIZE needs to go back to hospitality training. And since you said “ that’s not bed bugs “ I figured why not attach what they look like so your non educated ssa can see what they look like for future reference. The first is my picture I showed you the other two are from google. I hope you find a more suitable career for you because hospitality isn’t it.
For other guests looking for a satisfactory stay- come see us at Hyatt Regency . I’m not employed at this Rochester location, but the one I’m staying at in downtown Rochester has been treating me like a QUEEN since I got here. Angelize should come and learn a few things about how hospitality is supposed to go. Be safe if your staying with her because she doesn’t know how to do...
