Dollar General — Attraction in Town of Herkimer

One of my personal local favorites ! It manage a nice crossover between an old fashioned " Five and Dime " and a modern " Dollar " store. I like the employees and love the " cramped little-isles retro-ambiance ".

Given that I absolutely DETEST Walmart, I wind up going here almost daily for all the basics. From bread, milk, eggs, chips, etc...along with toiletry, personal hygiene needs and batteries ( and sooo much more ), I get what I need and I'm out in less than 10 minutes.

Its also worth mentioning that they're one of only two physical locations in town ( Walmart being the other of course ), where you can reload prepaid credit cards such as BlueBird, Visa and American Express. EXTREMELY handy for me as I use...

Always clean, friendly, and courteous clerks. Newly remodeled and updated. Some things are harder to locate as everything was moved . Would be helpful to have a map of sorts, to help the customers locate what they want without such a frustrating hassle. May be worth it in the long run to do so to also help lessen shoppers irritability towards the future relationships of same. Update! SO SORRY PPL. WRONG LOCATION! I visited here but thought it was the one in Ilion it wanted a review about. This store was what others prev. stated. Be aware: I let my 13 go into the store this evening. For something he needed for school tomorrow. Well it was taking 20 minutes for him.
