Hunter Mountain Rentals — Attraction in Town of Hunter

There was literally a line for everything from your boots, helmet, board. And when I say a line for everything I mean lines so ridiculous that I had spent over 2 hours just to get all my rental gear (NEVER getting them from here again) and it was so overcrowded and basically a trap for anyone who wants to head to the mountains to spend all day there. I only had the chance to do two runs because the ski lift lines also took about 30 mins and they close at 4 pm so it was a major waste of time and money. They shouldn’t oversell that many lift tickets and rentals if they don’t have the proper staff and instruction for first time visitors, let alone regulars. The mountain and ski lift work great. The problem is the system Hunter Mountain has with lift tickets, ski + board and helmet pick ups. They need to drastically change the process for this. It took us an Hour and a Half or even 2 hours just to get our lift tickets and gear.

We did leave our measurements for boots, ski boots, skis and snowboard while reserving the lift tickets and rentals 1 week before coming. We cannot understand why it was not made prior just for us to pick up at the rental center.

That huge line to take the lift tickets and gear should only be for walk ins or people who have inquiries regarding their pre booked lift tickets and...

They actually have a pretty sophisticated process where one is easily able to log height, weight and other requisite details and quickly pick up your rentals. Staff is super nice!
