Came to the Catskills to take on The Devil's Path. I was lucky enough to find Ma-Ma's so that I could carb up before the big day. I had a delicious plate of spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. After devouring the whole plate I told them I would be back the next day with my hiking buddies to celebrate with some pizza after the big hike. We made it to Ma-Ma's an hour before they closed, and we ordered 3 large pies(Lasagna, White, Meat Lovers), and they were all delicious! These pies are made with love, and are hand-stretched right in front of you. The result is a perfectly made thin crust pizza that you can fold and devour! What's even cooler about this place, is that the people who work there are very kind and gracious, and it's clear that they love what they do....and it's obvious that the people in their community love the food that they make. Thank you so much Ma-Ma's! The next time I'm in the Catskills I will...
Read morePizza is basic, out of can Sysco pizza sauce, thin crust, a bit floppy and oily. The undercarriage flops over when slice is folded. It's a 2 handed slice. One to hold it other to support the flopping tip with all the cheese just sliding off. Cant eat this slice while driving unless you want cheese and sauce on your lap.
It's not gas station quality but it's not a NY Pizza either.
Some 18-25 very beautiful, very polite girl makes the Pizza. It seems she's the only one doing everything. I feel her frustration in the Slice.
Things to improve: Pizza undercarriage should hold when folded. Thin is good but too thin and it wont hold. Too greasy especially for such a thin slice.
Would I call it a NY slice? No Would I eat again? Yes because its the only pizza place in town but I'd rather drive 30 minutes one way out of town for a...
Read moreWe ordered 5 pizzas since we had family over and friend. One call at 1pm, at approximately 1:30PM is was ready for pickup. AMAZING! Very good quality pizza, it was freshly made and the owner is extremely friendly too. It wasn't a bad price for extra toppings either. For a serving of 11 people and 5 pies, it broke down to roughly $7.35 per person. For a lunch, thats good food at a affordable price. The restaurant itself is between the definition of a "hole in the wall" to "neighborhood pizzeria". Not a franchise, not corporate, but not a knock off spot where the pricing is overkill/atmosphere is overkill. If you're in town traveling through or staying in the area for a week or so, definitely consider this place. They have an extensive menu and good food....
