To anyone looking for a Charming, friendly, wonderful feel like home kinda place then look no further. I can tell you that the Owner went out of her way for my children and myself from the minute i booked to our extremely late arrival and went out of her way to not only be available for us but offered to help with our belongings all while standing outside in the very cold late at night. Folks that just does not happen at least where i come from and ive stayed at many, many of the best places in the USA and Europe....Sandy was an absolute gem in every possible way you could imagine....M children ( ages 28 and 21 ) have not stopped talking about her kindness and disposition since onset.... This Absolutely Charming interior of every room (living room, sitting room, den, dinning area, and not to mention pool table ) not only the decorations and distinct taste for warmth has every part of it detailed in an amazing fashion. I actually had to simply stare and look at each one individually as to not miss anything. !! The room we had was the OPAL room which was absolutely perfect for us. I'm sure all the other rooms were just as Cozy....The morning breakfast served had everything for everyone and couldn't ask for more...If for any reason anyone needed something additional Sandy would do anything she could to accommodate it if possible....Seriously folks I do not usually write reviews unless I truly felt 100% it might help someone in some way. Of course everyone has their own views and opinions of places, but in mine and my children's It was JUST PERFECT. a Special Thank you to Fairlawn...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Fairlawn Inn in Hunter, NY, thanks in large part to the sweet and motherly Asian lady who runs the inn. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment.
Not only did she provide us with a cozy and comfortable room, but she also helped us with our ski bookings, ensuring that we were able to take advantage of all the great skiing in the area. Additionally, she even went out of her way to build a bonfire for us one evening, which made for a memorable night under the stars.
But what really made our stay exceptional was the guidance she provided us on additional activities we could do in the area. She was very knowledgeable about all the outdoor activities the Catskills have to offer, and provided us with some great recommendations that we would not have discovered on our own.
Her personal touch and warm hospitality truly made us feel at home during our stay. We enjoyed the delicious homemade breakfasts, and the comfortable room was a great place to relax after a long day of outdoor activities.
Overall, we highly recommend the Fairlawn Inn for anyone visiting the Hunter, NY area. Whether you're looking to hit the slopes or explore the great outdoors, the sweet and motherly Asian lady who runs the inn will ensure that your stay is a...
Read moreThe Fairlawn Inn was the perfect place to stay for a weekend ski getaway. The inn itself is about a 2 minute ride from the mountain and close to all the restaurants and bars in town. Chuck, the innkeeper runs a tight ship.
We stayed in the Glenwood Room and everything was perfect. The bathroom included a deluxe jacuzzi bath and was stocked with various types of high end shampoos, conditioners, soaps and even bubble baths! The real prize of the room was the fireplace. It gave the room the exact ski feel we were looking for.
Breakfast was included for both days of our trip. Chuck made ready to order meals served with fresh fruit and juices. There was also a bar with complimentary drinks, glasses, corkscrews, and bottle openers. Snacks wre available everyday until 7pm. Everything you'd need is at the Inn. Chuck really thought of it all and spare no expenses.
Our room had its own entrance so we could come and go when we pleased. The place itself is very quiet....excellent for sleep after a day (days) of skiing.
I'd recommend The Fairlawn Inn to anyone who wants to take a trip to the...
