Welcome Resort World Hudson Valley, Newburgh NY Casino. Easy drive from Poughkeepsie NY. 30 minutes. My Mom and I went on the First day of the Grand Opening. Easy in and out parking lot from 84. They do have Security patrol cars in the parking lot. Security cameras in and outside of the Casino.
Beautiful inside Casino. Down side is. You cannot use your Resort Catskills players card. You need to wait inline to show your driver's license and get a New Card. The line was very long and waited one hour and 30 minutes. Not enough help at the service desk. The employees outside the service desk would walk up to random people and help them get a card. They should of helped the Seniors first. My Mom is 81 years old and they never asked her if they can help her get her card .
You could not find the bathroom. I found a bathroom in the High limit room. You will not believe this. The Men's and Women bathroom is for one person at a time. Poor planning. There was a line. If you like Penny slot machine. You will like this Casino. If you like to play 23 cent or $1.00 Slot machines. You will not like the Casino. I personally would rather drive to the Catskill Resort Hotel in Monticello . New Review February 11, 2023. Read moreSat down at a roulette machine and put in $20 . I’m a modest gambler and always place a $1 bet on the same ten numbers. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 18, 20, 22 My kids birthdays! The machine automatically, on its own, placed a $20 bet on 36. A number I would never play! I had no idea what had happened as it was a matter of seconds. I called over employees for assistance and on their own they escalated to it to management. The machine clearly showed that I was trying to place a $1 bet as it was highlighted.
The manager was rude and flat out lied to me. I suggested that maybe the person before me had placed a larger bet. She assured me that the machine resets itself. They escalated it to surveillance and when she came back she says that I failed to change the denomination. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I can afford to lose the $20 the machine took from me.
The manager’s attitude and how she changed up her story and eventually blamed it all on me was inappropriate.
Be very cautious when placing bets on the automatic tables. Stick with the slot machines but also take a second to make sure you are not automatically on a spin that the person before you placed.
I learned the hard way that the person before me was a high roller who gambles $20 on one number.
Side note. It’s unfortunate that Resorts pops up in places that people are destitute and hoping for a windfall. Port Jervis, Newburgh, Yonkers, etc.
They clearly know what...
Read moreAttached to an old washed up mall, I found this spot about eight miles from the interstate exit. There is no food options inside, other than chips. You can “order in” food though. We chose to walk over to Buffalo Wild Wings before we stopped back in on a Tuesday evening. They don’t have tables, but they had virtual simulated tables for Black Jack, which is my game of choice. I received a $10 reward/credit for my birthday. That was only playable towards slots though, which isn’t my cup of tea, but I still wasted an hour or so on them. I won $5+ dollars, but the I wasn’t able to cash out, even though the ticket indicated that $5.24 was the cash portion of my voucher, the cash out machine wouldn’t accept it at all. $6.99 is the ATM fee. The main reason for my low opinion, is for the bar area. The portion of the liquor in my $10+ Long Island Iced Tea… I kid you not, was a literal spritz. I’ve never witnessed a “well served” LIT. In total, the cup was 6-8 ozs…. Which was 90% sweet and sour mix. The wine, in the same sized glass was the better option, priced at $9. What really grids my gears, is that they automatically added the gratuity. That’s not a big deal, but that detail isn’t on the receipt that they passed off for a signature, in addition to that, the line for what I now know was an ADDITIONAL tip, was on that receipt for me to sign. To say that I was ripped off at the bar, was an...
