It’s not easy to find a good cat groomer in Nassau County, so I’m really glad I found Pet Story in Mineola. I used to go to Petco, but that groomer moved to Florida. Another groomer I tried later switched to dogs only. Luckily, this place was recommended by an associate at my vet’s office - and I’ve been coming here ever since. Pet Story is a wonderful place. The staff are incredibly friendly, sweet, and caring. They treat your pet like family and give them special attention throughout the grooming process. From the front desk associate, Daemon, to the groomer, Olivia, everyone is professional and compassionate. I love how they keep you updated during the visit and call you as soon as your pet is ready - usually within about two and a half hours. My cat always comes back looking adorable, wearing a cute ribbon or bandana, smelling great, and clearly well cared for. The store is very clean, neat, and well-organized. Everything is in perfect order. In addition to grooming, Pet Story also offers daycare and boarding services, making it a convenient one-stop shop for pet care. And of course, they sell a wide range of high-quality pet products - beds, toys, carriers, outfits, bowls, treats, and more. I really appreciated that thoughtful treat. It’s the small, caring gestures like this that make a big difference. I absolutely love Pet Story NY in Mineola!!! My experience from start to finish was impeccable. I’m not even kidding. You walk in and this place does not smell like any pet store I have ever been to—it smells so fresh, and the displays are beautiful. They have an array of special treats that I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing until today, and the staff was very accommodating, welcoming, and super friendly.

We went to get a groom today thanks to all the reviews that rave about them, and let me just say—thank God they live up to their reputation. We had Hazel do Mia’s groom today and her attention to detail was next level. She left no question unturned, helped me fill out the form step by step, and truly made me feel comfortable leaving Mia in her care. She even made sure to ask about any sensitivities, preferences, or special instructions, which made me feel like Mia wasn’t just another appointment—they really cared.

When I picked Mia up, she looked like a million bucks! I’ve been to many groomers before and they never made Mia look this adorable. And the pink polka dot bow was the most adorable touch of class I could have ever imagined. Just the little details made this visit so special. Hazel nailed the cut we discussed, and Mia was happy, not stressed at all. It was obvious she was handled with love. First time pet owner. A few of our close friends recommended Pet Story to us when it was time to bring in our puppy, Cooper, for his first grooming session.

Upon arrival, we noticed how clean, bright, and welcoming the establishment was. They sell clothing, toys, foods, almost anything you might need for your pet.

I had booked a full groom for Cooper through their website. We were greeted by the staff at the front desk who quickly checked us in (creating a new account and updating information needed on file). Chloe was our groomer and she was absolutely the sweetest. She was patient and carefully explained everything that would go into the grooming session. I had no idea there were fur samples you could look at to decide how long or short you want your furbaby groomed.

We received a call 30 minutes prior to the session being finished. Total groom was about 3 hours.

I cannot say how satisfied we were with how Coopers first groom went. Chloe did a phenomenal job cleaning out the fur in his ears. His toenails were cut really well. He smelled amazing! (I have to ask what shampoo they used so we could purchase at home to use with him).

Overall, for our first groom and Cooper's, we were extremely satisfied with the service we received. I would HIGHLY recommend bringing your animal to get groomed at Pet Story in Mineola. Thank you guys so much for such a wonderful first...
