Horrible shopping experience! Stay away! I brought my daughter with the local business coupon book to the store named "2BSeen". This was my first time visiting the store, even just 5 minutes away from my home, since I saw a $50 off coupon code on the coupon book. And my daughter was looking for a Prom dress for the June Prom party. Even though my daughter already did a lot of homework online to buy her favorite prom dress. She had the choice she wanted in her mind. But I suggested that she should go to a local store to try it on.
We tried 6 dresses, I took four pics when my daughter tried on that day, the other two were totally not suitable so I wasn't even willing to take the pics . What a joke the merchant said we tried many many dresses, the whole try-on time was less than 1 hour. Under all our suggestions, my daughter chose the white dress. The dress was $400, and I brought the $50 coupon code from the coupon book, it wasn't her the merchant proactively gave us the $50 discount. The total was $350+$30(tax), I was required to pay the $200 deposit, I will pay the remainder $180 when we pick up the dress.
Just as the traditional routine, the girls shared their dress picture in the facebook group, my daughter got all the comments that the dress looked like a wedding dress instead of a prom dress. So my daughter said she still wanted the one she picked online which was absolutely her choice without anyone's opinion. So we went back to the store, and asked the owner if we still can change our mind to switch to one my daughter likes. She said yes, but obviously she wasn't happy. She showed an attitude on her face which we can feel. Since we didn't see the price tag on the dress, I asked how much the dress is, even though we know the price online is $265. She said the price is the same as the white one which we chose for the first time. I told her the price online was $265. Then she said, "okay, I adjusted the price for you", so she changed the selling price to $300, since I already paid the $200 deposit, I need to pay the $100 when we pick up the dress. By switching the dress, she didn't honor the $50 coupon!! And I can feel she started doing disgusting things, she stamped "final sale" on the receipt but didn't explain anything to us. She didn't do that the first time but the second time! I can feel she was happy at first, since my daughter took her suggestion also, chose the white and expensive dress. When we came back and asked to switch the dress she wasn't happy and was afraid of something. Why final sale!? Doing business all by her mood? She can say it is final sale then final sale, it is not final sale then not final sale? We were asked to come back in May to pick up the dress with dress shoes, she will base on the height with the shoe to do the alternation of the dress, if she finished the alternation, I have no argument of the final sale, I am a very reasonable person! I didn't argue with her, since I wanted to give my daughter a good memory, and dress was my daughter's choice, I definitely will pay for her. But the experience with this merchant was horrible. She wasn't an honest person! She can say how much is how much of the dress! And since the prom party would be on someday in June, we were told by the merchant to come to pick up and tryon the dress someday in May, she will measure and do the alternation ,just give her a call before visiting. It wasn't she described that she contacted us to pick up the dress, and never heard back from us,I never got contacted from her, no voice message at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never imagined I would be writing this review after I have supported this business for almost 20 years. Through out the years, I've trusted this store for many special moments in my life. Not just for me, but my mom and my daughter as well. That trust was built on more than just beautiful dresses, it was built on the way we were treated, with care, dignity and understanding. That's why this recent experience has left me deeply hurt and disappointed. A dress was ordered for my mom for my son's wedding. Fran made us pay extra money to have it delivered on time. By the time the dress was delivered my mom was terminally ill. She was not going to be able to attend her grandson's wedding. When Fran called to tell me the dress was in, I had a reasonable and respectful request. I suggested that she keep the dress and the deposit as I would have no use for it. I wasn't asking for a refund, only compassion. To be told that I was still expected to pay the full remaining balance and pick up the dress felt very cold and was shocking. After so many years of loyalty and support, I had hoped for even a small gesture of empathy. Instead Fran said I don't have any customers that are a size zero. I understand that businesses have policies. But in moments like these, people remember how they were treated more than any policy. I am writing this because it genuinely breaks my heart that what was once a trusted and meaningful relationship now feels like just another sale. You have officially lost us as customers, and I will be sure to tell all my...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePrices are definitely not the cheapest, but I can live with that. What I canāt accept is RUDE service.
My wife took my daughter there for her sweet 16 dress. When it came time for alterations the staff treated my wife and my daughter rudely.
The alterations that we wanted required a second visit. When trying to schedule my wife said that it might be hard to get to the store by 5, as we live 45 minutes from the store and have kids to pick up from school. The owners reply was ā well if you donāt get here by 5 Iāll be goneā .
I get it, everyone wants to go home at the end of long day. But⦠we just spent a s@*t ton of money for a dress, so we felt they couldāve been a bit more accommodating.
Iām not saying donāt shop here, just sharing our experience. We however wonāt be coming back here ever, ever again and we have three daughters.
3 sweet 16ās , 3 JR Proms, 3 Proms, 3 weddingsā¦. And who know what else.
Maybe I should go back with our bags of dresses in hand and ask them if they are paid commission and then say ā Big Mistake, Huge Mistakeā (Pretty Women Reference).
We ended up leaving without getting any alterations done. We asked that the charge for alterations be taken off the price. After they LITERALLY laughed at us they took $5 off the price, lol.
Iāll tell everyone I can about our experience and they can decide for themselves if they will shop...
