I recently joined Level Fitness (Pelham) and, overall, have been satisfied with my experience. The gym provides all the basic equipment you would expect for a well-rounded workout, though it comes at a higher price point compared to other local fitness options. The facilities are clean, modern, and well-maintained, creating a more premium atmosphere, which is nice, but the value can vary depending on your fitness needs. One thing to keep in mind is that some amenities are reserved for the highest-tier membership. Certain specialized spaces and equipment are only available to those with upgraded memberships, which could be a drawback if you have a standard membership and expect full access. The basketball court is another key feature. While it is generally open during set hours, it is often reserved for leagues or events. Additionally, no matter which level of membership you obtain, you’re not allowed to bring a friend onto the basketball court although your membership allows you to. Lastly it is mostly available for casual use, it’s unavailable during peak times or when special events are scheduled. A new addition to the gym is the pickleball court, which is a great option for those looking to try something new. However, it's not included in any membership tier. Members can rent the court on an hourly basis, with a discount provided for those with a membership. In conclusion, Level Fitness (Pelham) is a solid choice for anyone seeking a clean, well-equipped gym with a more premium environment. Just be aware that certain amenities and spaces are restricted based on membership tiers. If you value additional flexibility and access to specialized features, upgrading to a higher membership might be a good option. (See the attached for the basketball court restrictions)

This is my day one I haven't been to a gym in over 20 years. I took the day to get acclimated and I tried the elliptical, the stepper, and the bicycle. Ideally I'd like to do some of those weight machines but there are a lot of people and I was feeling uncomfortable so I went upstairs and just did a little 30 minutes on my own and went home. Hopefully by the end of this week I'll be comfortable enough to try some of the weight machines and get a routine together. The gym is very clean and has lots of different machines and options to work plus it has a sauna and hydro massage chair. I definitely think it would be a good choice for anyone from a novice to an expert.

The cleaning staff must do a better job or be replaced; they have been like that for some time now. Other than that, the gym is one of the best around here.

This gym has really taken a turn for the worse over the last few months. Definitely not worth the money. I'm not really sure what I'm paying for. When you pay $89.99 a month, you expect some type of quality/perks.

CONS: -There are only two functioning urinals and two functioning toilets in the mens room (two have been broken for 4 months). There are also snot rockets above the urinals: they have been there for a few months as well... -One of the sinks has been "taking a rest day" for about 3 months. It might seem petty, but it shows the lack of care when it's been broken for so long. -Most of the mirrors show signs of aging and desilvering. -The scale in the mens room doesn't show accurate readings. -TV's in the mens room haven't worked in months. -The water filter hasn't been replaced in over a month. -The water in the showers never really get hot. And when you put it all the way to heat, the water just drips out. -There was a massive leak from the ceiling last month over some of the equipment. Some of the paint chips drop on you while you're working out underneath it and the ceiling is still just hanging down. -Most of the air vents are covered in dust or are missing the vent covers. -Pool is permanently closed-management says its too expensive to reopen it. -Still no towels.

PROS: -The equipment is clean. -The gym is never too busy.

This gym has so much potential but definitely needs some serious TLC. It seems like they are just giving up or planning on closing. If you're thinking about joining, take a look at 24-Hour fitness across the street after your tour of Level. It's more affordable and much better. I will not be rejoining Level when my...

The best part is I don’t remember ever having to wait to use a machine, and that’s why I’m still here. The facility is poorly maintained. There are pieces of the flooring that are missing, the ceiling is often leaking or missing sections. About 5 of the treadmills are consistently not working or malfunctioning. The floor boards in the middle of the top floor are a complete safety hazard. I can’t speak for the men’s locker room but many of the lockers in the women’s locker room NEVER work. It’s been this way for at least over a year. There aren’t any towels or napkins/paper towels to dry your hands in the bathroom, just Kleenex. I guess thats better for the environment…..I guess. The maintenance staff is really nice but the locker room always looks and feels dirty, from the mirrors to the walls, it’s just bad. I do appreciate that there are almost always adequate wipes to clean the machines before and after use. All in all I’ve had these complaints for a while and for the price it doesn’t seem worth it. But like I said, I don’t usually have to wait for machines and I can’t say the same for most of the other gyms...
