Quiet Cove Riverfront Park — Attraction in Town of Poughkeepsie

It's a very beautiful view point. I love going here because for one, there is abundant parking available and if you have alot of things with you for grilling out or something you can drive down to the waterfront to drop off your belongings (or if handicapped you can park) Another reason is that the area is peaceful & it is quiet when it is not busy. I see alot of older folk take a chair and just sit there watching the lake all day long in the shade. My friend's husband goes fishing & I've seen a person take their puppy to learn swimming in the water as well. There is a place to access the water by foot as well as a dock for like, kayakers to enter the water. I don't recommend fishing because it is very rocky, but there must be other sections that are better bc one day i seen many people with fishing supplies coming back to...

Nice cozy the view was amazing went there with my fiance and enjoyed the bliss feeling .it kind of feels like we went to another state and were far away from poughkeepsie like it was awesome.when we get married we are actually going to have our reception there. A wonderful park which is perfect for a picnic or reading a book. There are plenty of clean picnic tables and seating areas throughout the park, as well as hiking trails along the river and woods. It is a great place to watch the boats and trains go by while listening to the quiet lapping of the Hudson River. Today, we even watched a bald eagle fly over with a fish!
