Honestly, a horrible experience. When I first called videotronics about my 50 in lg tv, I was told he would keep it below $200, and he did by about $7, so with tax it I paid $208, and within a few weeks one of the lights inside the back fell, so had to get it fixed again. Not even a week later, the same light falls the same way, and now I have to return it a third time. When dropping it off for the 3rd time, the owner goes on a little rant about how it was faulty tape, not his fault.....he fixed it again, I take it home and instantly notice multiple black dots on my screen, including one directly in the middle, insanely obvious. Also, the lighting is still messed up on the top and right side so there is clear shading. I then return it a 4th time, and I am told those are dead pixels and there is nothing the owner can do. He offers me $40 (remember I paid over $200) and then proceeds to tell me to sell it if I am unhappy. He accidentally says he sells tvs like that under $200, so basically sell it to break even on his repairs after 8 trips to his store on 4 different returns is what he is telling me. I live about 25 minutes away, so that $40 doesnt even cover the gas I spent going back and forth to try and get my tv fixed. In the end I have a tv with bad shading multiple dead pixels, the owner all but admitted he caused, with one really annoying one in the center. I am out $168, and whatever my gas costs were with the 8 trips back and forth. I would not reccomend this store to anyone. True...
Read moreWas about ready to toss my high end Samsung Plasma (Magnolia) into the trash but found Videotronics and thought I’d try to see if it could be repaired. Was a little concerned when I saw the place since it was packed with tvs but one call with the owner and one conversation when I dropped it off put me at ease.
The diagnostic and estimate were free and It only took a few weeks to get it back. He is very busy which is a good sign and I wasn’t in a big rush.
Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and has been in the electronic repair business since his days in the military.
My 8500 series plasma flatscreen is back and working perfectly. The repair was What I consider very reasonably priced. I priced a new comparable flat screen at Best Buy at $3800.
I highly recommend Videotronics if you have a need for a flatscreen repair you...
Read moreJeff was great! After realizing that the TV problem could not be solved via TCL tech chat, I came across Videotronics on line. Called on Friday, dropped of on Saturday. Told me that he would call Monday with diagnosis and cost. Right as promised got the call Monday with the diagnosis and estimate. Very reasonable price and was ready to go the same day. Jeff even made accommodations to head back to the shop and pick up after hours to fit within my schedule.
I've always considered electronics disposable when dead. And usually dead meant obsolete. Only having this TV for 3 years, I couldn't get my self to buy a new TV if it was repairable. Definitely made a great decision in having it repaired.
Couldn't be happier with the process and the result. I would highly recommend using...
