At Wallace Home Design they work magic! I have used them for upholstery for over 25 years, usually with furniture that has been thrown out by other people. Joe, their head upholsterer can transform any piece he is given. The worse the condition the better the challenge. I have never once heard the words "lady you can't do that".

Renee is a genius with figuring out how to make things work. It is always easier to make curtains from scratch - new fabric, to a pattern, but recently I brought her curtains from my mother's bedroom that I wanted to rework for my living room using a sketch I had and measurements I had taken (the living room was in the City). Challenges? Curtains too short, not enough extra fabric for the swag treatment I wanted. We decided to take time to think about how to make it work. Ultimately, Renee working with her work room constructed fabulous curtains, exactly by the sketch using some very unconventional techniques. It actually is a miracle and I could not be more pleased. I am not easily pleased.

After visiting three different local blind/shade shops in our area and not being very satisfied, we went further afield with a recommendation of Wallace Design about 1 1/4 hours away from home. We first called and spoke with Renee, one of the owners. She suggested that we send her pictures of the windows we were trying to cover, what we were looking to achieve and to send her pictures of the layout of the room and the color of the walls.

We called her back and she said that she received everything and that she had a few ideas and if we ready for a roadtrip, she would be happy to make an appointment.

When we got to Wallace we were immediately impressed. This was a well staffed showroom and everyone appeared to be working well with each other. Renee immediately took us under her wing and showed us what she thought would work for our entry windows, and we concurred. I chose the color I wanted, my husband chose the motorization he wanted.

I found Renee and her staff to be polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I like a business that knows their product and they certainly do.
