I want to start off by stating that this is my first ever review. Second of all, I like to also point out that I never expect a worker to go above and beyond for me, because it is never that serious. HOWEVER, the service at Staples at 1399 Ulster Ave WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I don’t understand why it is okay for employees to be so rude… and downright disrespectful with no regards to BASIC DECENCY. I know people have off/bad days… but what are the odds that I come in the store,TWICE, and all three staff members I speak to are rude to me. Rude as in 1. rolling their eyes 2. laughing at my questions 3. ignoring me and 4. not even bothering to say a greeting or farewell. There was only ONE gentleman who was kind to me, directed me to the right stations, and actually wished me a ‘good day’. I say with sincerity, that I never ever care for excellent service. As long as I get my item, that’s all I can ask for. BUT STILL, I don’t think it is crazy to ask for a worker to HAVE BASIC MANNERS, that even a 16 year old would have. Yes, the three staff members that were insanely disrespectful to me were GROWN ADULTS. Read moreI've been to the Staples multiple times. Only one time that I have a decent experience it wasn't even a good one. This last time is making me leave this review. I went into exchange an ink cartridge for my work the package even said exchange on the package with a note when I came in I told the guy I want to exchange this for a working one what did the guy do? He returned the one I was bringing back and then wanted to charge me for another one. Instead of exchanging it like I asked and the manager couldn't even override it. It has to be impossible to find confident Health these days everybody needs to play mental gymnastics just to make it down the sidewalk it seems and this Staples is not shorthanded of individuals that should be wearing helmets instead of working customer service with a register. I entered the establishment with the intention of utilizing their printing service, but to my dismay, the quality of service I encountered was abysmal. Upon encountering a message instructing me to contact an associate through the machine I was using, I sought assistance from the first associate I came across. Regrettably, she confidently informed me that she lacked the training required to operate the printers. Hoping for a resolution, I anticipated that she would direct me to someone who could help. However, my hopes were in vain, as she instead joined her colleagues who seemed engrossed in non-work-related discussions.
Eventually, another associate offered to assist me, but his initial inquiry as to whether I required attention took an unexpected turn when he expressed his own need for attention. This peculiar behavior was quite out of character for the normally dependable Staples service I had grown...
