Hey all. So at this hotel my husband and I has because frequent flyers. However after this weekend we will not be back. To which this is the second time they've upset an ambassador member meaning me to stays in a row. Within a month of each other not good for business. On February 28th I checked in on a redemption stay. But before I checked in I called to ask what the Incidental hold would be. I was told 20 dollars. I explained that I was pretty strapped for cash. So i just need to know what to expect. When I checked inn I thought seemed odd that I had to swipe my card. I was way over charged. By an extra 50 dollar hold. To which the hotel tried to say this was Marriott thing not their hotel. The hotel left me with not even a way to get breakfast or even drinks. Also when a bonvoy rep called they were told it was cc error. So which is it either way had it not been for my banker releasing the hotels mistake. I would have had no money till I made more that saturday. Staff on the night I couldn't have cared less that they made mistake. Nor did apologize. Or try to compensate for the error on there part. NOT GOOD! Requested the hotel Manger call me I never got a call back. This hotel caused me to have anxiety and chest pains over what they did. Got no sleep do to worrying over money.
Now to this past Friday's stay 3/21 yes the third floor but right near the blvd rm# 336 lol. At night it's like a drag race. Also the room is supposed to be feather free At check-in there was no sparkle as I have become accustomed to no gift bags to water bottles oh and no thanking me for being an ambassador member. Sorry but the little things count. So I quickly checked in was un-happy but no biggie get up stairs and drop my bags quick to go back to work. Later that evening we noticed I was sounding congested. Found out there was 1 feather pillow. We are allergic to feather (please pay attention). Again hotel staff in am did even seem concerned. Ambassador elite member end This is now the 2nd time I have lost sleep. Not easy to sleep when you can't breathe right. I ask the person at the desk when the hotel Manger would be in she said she had know idea. So please if you are staying on a redemption stay pay attention to what they are holding on your account or better find a different hotel. At first my husband and I loved staying here because it was convenient. With no compensation from my redemption stay. Now this being the second time I lost a night of sleep when I work 7 days a week. ALSO WITH HOW MUCH I PAID FOR NO PERKS. I am not so sure I want to come back. I really hate leaving back reviews I am sorry I draw the line on feathers in the room. I do not recommend this hotel.

Read moreI booked this hotel on January 20, 2024 and I prepaid the full amount of $348.70 for one room with two beds via Mariott Bonvoy as I was attending a wedding on May 4, 2024.
Upon arrival on May 4th, 2024, the front desk charged the full amount of $348.70 again. I've never had a full rate charged as incidental before, and I was later confirmed of my suspicion via speaking to Mariott Bonvoy staff who verified that this was not a normal practice. I did tell the front desk staff that the room was prepaid and I showed her the booking via Mariott Bonvoy app on the phone. But the staff did not look and she repeated that the card was only charged as incidental and upon check out, the charge would disappear if the room was prepaid. I then checked out on May 5th after one night stay. A few days later, the pending 'incidental' charge of 348.70 cleared and it charged the full amount for the second time for the same one night stay despite the fact that it had been fully paid for in January 20th, 2024.
I disputed the charge by calling the Courtyard Kingston directly while providing the booking confirmation and payment information from Mariott Bonvoy from January, but the management was unwilling to help after several days of going back and forth. The management ultimately advised that they could not see the duplicate charge of the single night reservation despite the fact that I provided the one night reservation of prepaid room and duplicate payments for the same night stay. I was informed to dispute the charge via the charging credit card, which will be the course I will be taking now.
I have wasted hours disputing this issue with Courtyard Kingston and Mariott Bonvoy. I am more disappointed with the customer service at Courtyard Kingston as Courtyard Kingston was the one who processed the charge twice via the same card.
I would never stay at this hotel again and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone else. No one should pay twice for one night and then be left with incredibly unhelpful customer service.
Update The owner posted a response that I had been 'rebated' for one of the two charges, which is a false statement. I did provide screenshots of statements that no such thing happened. I am still waiting for a resolution. I stayed one night and I got charged for two nights. How is this so difficult to fix?
Update 2 Finally got the improper secondary charge removed after a whole month via American Express, as Mariott Bonvoy and Courtyard Kingston did not offer resolution. I would steer clear from this hotel to avoid such unnecessary...

I specifically chose this hotel because it was the only one close to my job site that had a “HOT TUB.” Well, I get in around 930pm on Sunday night 7-7-24 and immediately shower and change into a swimsuit to hit the pool and “hot tub.” Pool is ice cold and the hot tub is about as warm as the pool should be. I try the jets on the hot tub and nothing. Turning the dial on the wall you hear the pump kick on in the mechanical room but nothing happens in the “hot tub.” I go to the front desk and mention that the hot tub is cold and the jets don’t work. Two days later no change. It is maybe 100° which isn’t even bath water and the jets still don’t work. I spent an extra $150ish and lost out on included breakfast from other hotels nearby to stay in this place and I’m livid I did. Total waste. Fix your damn hot tub. They have an indicator on the wall that says 103° which is nowhere near the tubs temp. I’ve been a hot tub connoisseur for 25 years and this is hands down the most disappointing experience I’ve had to date out of hundreds upon hundreds of nights in hotels. I will not be returning. So around 11pm Sunday night I go back to my room, disappointed and cold and shower. I wake up and head to the bathroom Monday morning when I noticed somebody’s old dried out crusty contact lenses on the sink vanity right next to where I laid my toothbrush down. Can you say disgusting?? Threw my toothbrush out and went across the parking lot to Target for a new one. I do t wear contact lenses. Do we not CLEAN the bathroom between guests?? Especially where people spit and do all sorts of bodily cleaning. Gross. ||Room keys stopped working out of nowhere twice locking me out of my room requiring me to go back to the front desk both times. ||Breakfast plate was jail quality for nearly $20- never again. Across the parking lot I could have saved $50+ a night on the lodging and saved another $20+ with their included continental breakfast. ||Guest services isn’t doing a single thing for me. This is my last stay with Courtyard/Marriot hotels, back to the big “H” brand hotels for my few night business trips every month....
