Walks through nature and art for all!

This place is fantastic! Never new it existed until recently and spent the afternoon there with some family. It's very flat, so anyone looking for a walk through nature but struggles with steps (or is even in a wheelchair) can manage most of the trails quite well! There are many little playground areas for children (including one big one near the parking lot) and all kinds of interesting outdoor artwork with interesting information provided on each.

The grand finale is if you're able to go down to the level of Buffalo Creek and enjoy the walk along the water. There are many flat areas smoothed out by the water which are exposed enough to walk close to the water, climb on fallen trees, and even enjoy the water a bit - at least your feet. I haven't seen it personally in the summer, but there are some amazing underwater slides which children absolutely go bonkers for in the warmer weather.

Highly recommended...

Such a great place to walk. There is water access to the creek, so you can cool off in the summer. Bring a floatie! Their random sculptures through the park break up the monotony that most parks have, keeping kids engaged. The rainbow "fort" is my favorite place- super unique and colorful, tucked in the back near the main building. My other favorite part is the raised wooden pathway.

In the fall/spring it can get very muddy in some areas, so you might want to walk in your wellies! Some areas can be flooded out if it just rained a lot, so be prepared - that's really all you have to be mindful for.

They have a big playground area when you first enter the park, and my kid loves it. So many slides to chose from, at different heights with different styles (wavy, straight, covered, and spiral).

It's a beautiful and unique experience close to home, with trails, sculptures, play areas, and water- what more...

It took me too long to find out about this neat little park! My five year olds could not get enough of the playground here. It has a very unique design and its nicely shaded by the tall trees on the edge of the park.

Full bathroom facilities and picnic tables nearby make the experience very accommodating.

The little sculpture park was fun to explore as were the easy walking trails.

Just off the main trail, you can get down to the creek to throw stones, and visit the ducks in the shallow water quite easily.

Make sure you know how to identify poison ivy before you go and don't stray off the trails. There are some warning signs posted for it along the way.

I only wish that management would make it a no dog park, as way too many people feel the need to show up with thier multiple dogs, which isn't always welcome by...

I attended a PRISM training to observe and report invasive plants here. The facility is clean, cool, and inspiring. The trails add to the ambiance and peacefulness of the area, so much so that you don't notice the urban sprawl until leaving the grounds. Hike the trails and be informed by the placards. There are QR codes that may or may not work. The only one I tried did not. :*( Buffalo Creek runs near and you can take a cooling dip, if you dare. I question the safety of such measures. Keep walking on the trail and you get to a cemetery turn towards the creek and you'll find a BMX trick bike course! I got lucky to see one loan guy practice. Look close at the video. Other highlights: a blue heron flying away and a mama duck and her chicks. Appreciate the little things.

I don't know why I had never been here before. We loved it so much that we went 2 days in a row! The paths are clean. Lots of places to sit and reflect or take a break to talk to a friend Also, a bunch of picnic tables throughout the place. I would consider bringing a lunch here to share if I didn't hate insects buzzing around me while I try to eat. It was not too busy so we were able to safely practice social distancing. There was a playground in the enterance where a lot of children and families were hanging out. A lot of people were on their phones (like a lot) I think it's a Pokemon hotspot too. I'll def. Be back. Can't wait to see it in fall.
