As a hesitant Sunday worshiper upon moving to Travelers Rest, 6 months ago, my family was blessed to move into a neighborhood with tremendous advocates for Trailside. As a family, with a toddler, my wife and I wanted to reestablish our interaction and participation with a church (while still searching for something unlike our previous negative experiences).
Our first visit to Trailside was a welcoming and instant sense of belonging. Pastor Sean’s message that day challenged our previous notions about church in the South, and posed thoughts that I have had but never put a script to. Since our first visit, we’ve nearly attended every Sunday, diving into the family of Trailside, headfirst!
The children’s program is an incredible resource the church offers, with every level of security, safety and positive Christian interactions for all ages.
Parents Night Out - is simply the BEST program they have! Community Groups, such as Leaf and Lager, are a huge resource for my spiritual growth, that I thought previously were confined to Sunday mornings. All staff is engaging and nurturing towards my family, constantly reaching out for more opportunities for social and spiritual interactions.
Biggest takeaway; we found not just a new place to live, in Travelers Rest; but with one trip to Trailside, we found a community of friends, best friends and passionate Jesus-advocates that we will cherish each and every step alongside them as the years progress!
Give this church a try, because they want you there, and so does...
Read moreMy wife and I moved to Travelers Rest about 3 years ago. Up until this past fall, we were driving to and from downtown Greenville every week for church. With a newborn, this became pretty difficult.
This is when we decided to try Trailside. And we’re so glad we did. The worship is incredible. Pastor Sean isn’t afraid to speak the truth and the way everyone loves and serves one another is contagious.
Not to mention Parents Night Out, Trailside’s way of serving parents by offering free child care once a month, is amazing! We felt loved and known from the moment we first walked through the door.
Trailside is going all in on loving and serving Travelers Rest in the name of Jesus.
If you’re new to TR or just looking for a different place of worship, I highly recommend...
Read moreWe have only been coming to Trailside since the beginning of January, but it immediately felt like home. We were welcomed with open arms by the members and even the pastor. Which is a huge change from other churches we have been to. Our oldest (7) says he loved that he actually learns Bible stories as opposed to our past churches where it was just song singing. Our toddler (2) even gets excited to go to the children’s ministry- he doesn’t even get this excited at his daycare!! The sermons are real and unfiltered, the community has an abundance of events and ways to fellowship and my family and I are excited to get...
