I finally reach what resembles civilization after spending hours weaving thru a SUPER rural pocket of South Carolina. The sign I see reads “Travelers Rest” so naturally I commence looking for a rest stop…but instead what I enter is a flourishing little town center with plenty to see. My body consults my soul and they agree that coffee is the goal. Before I could even activate my google fingers…I see a trendy looking cafe and swerve like a maniac and park to the dismay of the car beside me. This was official business..
The exterior of the cafe was dope sauce showcasing a covered patio, string lighting and plenty of seating for caff-fiends. The interior was virtuous, simple, fun, bright, fresh and vibey with the polite staff matching the decor. It was far too populated for me to snap a lot of photos and possibly blow my cover as the coolest reviewer on the planet.
There were three blends of caffeinated brown bean water on deck and oh how I love options in threes. I chose the Nostalgia Blend. After one sip I began to taste my childhood and that was pretty damn good. Full and rich are words that come to mind. I also opted for the “Strawberry Bar” because it was whispering to me from inside the display case. It was thick fluffy and sweet similar to what I prefer in a mate. So rich it could be 1/3rd of the size and still make sense.
Before leaving I visited the restrooms 1) because I believe the condition of a restroom says a lot about a business 2) I needed to wash my hands of the wretched Dunkin Donuts coffee I settled for earlier. The restroom signage was also creative (go see for yourself) and it was uber clean and well stocked.
This place was a major win. If you find yourself breezing through #TravelersRest this is a destination you need to explore. Kudos to the owner(s) and I hope my words prove helpful and provoke a smile. Follow along as I continue to travel everywhere and review damn near everything.

Read moreThe worst cold brew, and nitro cold brew I have ever had. It tasted like soy sauce and the guys behind the counter was just as bitter and salty as the coffee. We just threw it away what a waste of money.
** To the owner’s reply: I am kind to local businesses deserving of a good review, and I do not lie, regardless of who or where you are. I did notice that you didn’t mention anything about the guy behind the counter. Are you suggesting that it’s okay for them to be rude to anyone who comes in and pays for your overpriced coffee, treating them as if they’re a bother? If you want an honest review, take a look within your business. Improvement is...
