Been there many times, first couple was great service and food. Then had a terrible experience that took beyond long for any sort of service, waters were always empty, food took forever and it wasn't nearly as good as normal. Just thought it was an off day, went back another two times and had two good experiences where the waiter was on it, always there for any needs and food was quick or at least normal like a restaurant should be. Food was also great. Tonight we went there and it was the worse experience yet! First time for my girlfriend to experience the place and we had terrible service. We ordered a split order of wings for an appetizer, (I asked can we get these as an appetizer) and then our meals which also included salads. Sat there for over 40 minutes never being checked on once, waters empty and at this point very hungry. Then all at once our food came out, with the wrong flavored wings and no salads. (Where I come from you typically get your appetizers and salads before the meal) Anyways another lady came out to tell us she'd have our wings fixed and bring them out. We were okay with that and ate our meals. Then we finished our meals and we're curious where the wings and salads were. The waiter finally came back and I questioned her about the wings and salads. She came up with some story about their making a fresh batch of salads and the wings are 30sec out. So we waited a while longer then the salads came, mean while we had finished our meals 10 min before. Still ate them and then she brought our bills. At this point I assumed the correct wings were definitely not coming. She came back and quickly grabbed my bill and left a to go container, I said wait what's this? She goes those are your wings and I said yeah we probably didn't want them to go considering we ordered them as a appetizer. She rudely asked if we wanted them on a plate instead? I responded that I don't think we wanted them anymore at this point and she again rudely responded with well you can send them back then as she walked away. I couldn't believe she brought our appetizer after we were completely done with our meals in a to go box. Apparently it's an aftertizer at shortfields. Anyways there's more details and reasons we will NEVER be going back to this place but I've already written a novel so you get the point. I guess all I can say is it's hit and miss. Just saw this old review and wanted to make sure I updated it. Since my initial review, this has been our "go to" place for a quick bite (wings are awesome) and some VERY cold beers. Staff is excellent! Have been back many times since our initial bad experience.

The 1st time we went here was great. Service was excellent and food was perfect. That was not the case this time. The restaurant was busy and we had a little wait, nothing crazy and actually turned down a table to sit in the area we wanted. Well, we ordered our dinner and I got the Shrimp and Grits, my wife ordered a salad with pecan chicken and my son ordered the wings. This is where it all fell apart. The Shrimp & Grits was pretty much soup, seriously. An oversized bowl with no more than a tablespoon of grits somewhere in the broth. It tasted like watered down gravy. So, after finding someone to tell, they apologized and said that sometimes it comes out like that. I told her that I was not happy with it and was going to get something else. I asked what they can make quickly and was told the wings always come out quick as my wife and son already had their meals. She said she would take off the Shrimp and put the wings in. Our original server came by the table and offered her apologies. So, as I sat there waiting on my wings for 15 minutes, I asked a server to please check. Another 10 minutes go by and my wife and son are pretty much done with their meals when I get another bowl of Shrimp & Grits. Didn't want it and was actually looking forward to the wings. Granted this looked much better than my soup, I was now eating alone as my family was done. By this time I was very hungry so I at my meal. About done with my dinner, the server came by and said for the trouble they would give us a free desert. Did not want desert and she said we could get it to go. Fine... so we hear the choices, order the Cherry Chocolate Cheesecake.. server comes back 5 minutes later and say they were out of it. Just give us the chocolate cake and our bill. Pay the bill, nothing adjusted and walk out with a price of chocolate cake we threw out in the parking lot garbage can. Don't think we will...

I’m just in shock with the experience I had here tonight. Came in with my boyfriend to have dinner and was told by the hostest it would be just a couple of moments before we were sat down. Well, after waiting about 12 minutes we were finally sat down outside. We were put in a corner table towards the back outside. After waiting an ADDITIONAL 9 minutes I went and reminded the hostest that we were out there and needed a server please. FINALLY a waitor came over and took our food & drink orders. While taking our order I asked him what he preferred ( the fries or chips) he said the fries were his favorite, so I got them. About 6 minutes went by and he came with our salad, I started to eat my salad assuming he would be right back with our drinks. After I was about half way done with my salad our sever walked by and I had to ask him for our drinks. He came back with our drinks about 5 minutes later. Before our food came out I had asked him if we could get our rolls and he said “ofcourse I normally just bring them out with the food” which was no biggy at all we were just getting hungry because our food was taking awhile. So then we wait and wait for about 38 minutes for our food to come out.. and get no rolls. I ordered the buffalo burger which was suppose to come with blue cheese & had none on it. Also, my fries were very cold and soggy which was odd because my server recommended them and with how long we waited I expected them to be SUPER fresh. My boyfriend got the shrimp alfreado and the noodles were cold. After our waitor saw we had our food he got the rolls. I was half way done with my food by then.

I honestly could keep on going with the experience but I just don’t feel like writing a novel. Needless to say HORRIBLE customer service and I’ll probably not be going there again. It would be different if the food turned out to be perfect and amazing but it ruined my expectation as well.
