Food - This would be our second visit, each visit we tried a new sandwich and today's was the blackberry and bacon grilled cheese and the ham egg and cheese. The blackberry bacon grilled cheese is a combo that I would have never thought of combining. It was actually delicious and something everyone should try. Take a gamble on the unique blend. As for the ham egg and cheese it was a good simple breakfast sandwich. The star here was the blackberry, as the breakfast sandwich could have used a bit more of something. Maybe a sauce or something. Otherwise, everything was good.
Service - Here, you go up the register, grab a menu to order what you want, take a number, and find an open seat somewhere.
Restaurant - A number of tables are considered "group" tables to make a new friend or sit next to strangers - fun concept. Minimal outdoor seating, mostly indoor. There is art work everywhere. Bring your kids here, as they can draw and color pictures while waiting. They were quickly cleaning and clearing tables, as they were quite busy for lunch. Floors were clean and as mentioned, tables were being upkept.
Overall - This is a fun stop for a quick sandwich and some coffee / smoothies right off the...
Read moreWas in town for training and was looking for a small local business to have breakfast. Found this restaurant on YELP and tried it out. I arrived just as they were opening up and was cheerfully greeted by a great group of ladies working there. Right off you know it will be different when you see all the pictures, paintings and other colorful art through the windows as you enter. The interior looks more like an art gallery and studio rather than a place to eat. They have an extensive list of coffee types and flavors. I had a double cappuccino with steamed milk which was exactly what I needed that morning. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese panini with a fruitcup that was very good. While sitting there you are constantly noticing little pieces of art made by customers as well as local artists. Each customer can grab some paints and add to the collection. Some pieces are for sale as well. Next time I am in town and have free time, I might have to try that out. If you are looking for a fun, different and interesting place to eat, this is the...
Read moreWow! What a gem! I was searching for a fun outing with the kids while family was visiting but the rain was ruining our plans. I found out about the TRee House Cafe & Studio on the Kidding Around Greenville site and I’m so happy I did. My five kids ages two to ten were all engaged in various forms of art for more than two hours. The staff were so kind and patient to explain everything to them, listen to their ideas, and helping make them reality. I got to enjoy watching them create and also got to speak in complete uninterrupted sentences with my visiting family. We enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and fruit cups as snacks. The barista even made the hot chocolate at a kid-safe temperature without being ask- such a nice touch! We’ll definitely...
