Elixir 16 — Restaurant in New York

The beer selection and staff are fantastic. One of my favorite places to go, especially when I'm not looking for the loud bar scene but rather to hang out and enjoy my beer and conversation. One thing I really like is the crowd this place attracts, plenty of like minded people from all walks of life happy to chat. Of all the great staff here Colleen is my favorite; always smiling, full of beer knowledge, and ready with a quick witty joke or an honest level headed opinion if that's what you're after. Elixir 16 is unique. It's this little bar, but also kind of like your best friend's room. And there's no real "bar" vibe. There's boardgames in the back, and with a fun selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, it's this versatile little hangout spot for more than just nightlifers.

This place is awesome. They also have Airbnbs available for staying on the upper floors. The beer selection is incredible. They have 6 taps I believe with a wide variety of different types of beer/prosecco in addition to their cooler of can beer selections. It's also very personal and the owner or workers will be happy to make recommendations or assist to with choosing a beer. Very intimate atmosphere in a unique historic location.
