Deceitful, dishonest. Undisclosed lock site fee. Stopped in to inquire about rates and availability. Was told March was $1,070 and April was $890. On a map they circled the sites that were available at that rate. I drove past them all and picked one. Went back to the office and reserved it. They said I'd get a confirmation by email. Back home I opened the confirmation email and it had a $250 lock site fee on it. Neither of the women behind the counter had ever said anything about any kind of lock site fee. Ever. They just quietly went about the business of circling sites on the map, suggesting I drive by them and pick one, booking the reservation, and sending me on my way. They said nothing when I first arrived and asked about availability, they said nothing when they handed me the map with the circled sites, they said nothing when I returned to the office to book the site, they said nothing when we completed the booking. The only time I ever learned anything about a lock site fee was after I had made my deposit and received the email confirmation. This is an undisclosed fee which I will be pursuing legally. They should have just told me about it from the very beginning.
UPDATE: I sent a message about this to the front desk and heard nothing back, so I enlisted the help of the on-site real estate person who had shown me a park model that same day. Still no response from the front desk, no email, no phone call, no message, no explanation, no apology, just a computer-generated email from their reservation system with a revised guest folio PDF attached showing a "Site Lock Fee Waived" credit. How's that for customer...
Read moreWe checked into this park for 3 nights. Most of the sites are Park Models, but they squeeze, and I mean squeeze, RV's in between. literally every square inch of this 533 site park is covered with RV's or park models. They say someone will help you get into a site. Wrong. They leave you to your own devices to wriggle and squirm to try to fit into the narrow sites. Fortunately for us a nice man across from us came over and helped us. It took a long time but we had finally gotten in. The site was so small that we had to park away from the site. They made both of us go to the office to check in. While they advertise cable, they only have it for limited sites. But we were told that we could call Comcast and have them come out and hook us up. For 3 days? we asked. They shrugged. Then we told them we were Good Sam. Oh, we don't take Good Sam during peak season they replied. Sorry. On top of all of that, there was a sign at check-in that stated that the water in the entire park would be off the following day from 9-12. AND the price was $50.33 a night. Injury to insult. We will not...
Read moreIt is really sad that this company has management who are so craven they make their young junior employees do their dirty work and insult customers. We have an older RV - well weathered on the outside but completely rebuilt with wood and leather inside. A beautifully refurbished machine just a little weather worn. Imagine my surprise when the management looked down his snooty nose and told us via his employee that our machine was too old, to low class for his fancy park. I guess us old folks in our weather worn bodies are also low class? How judgemental! He never had the class to meet with me and see what kind of people we are. They have forever lost my business. If you judge people and things by their cover and are too snooty to look inside you will miss many wonderful things in this world (Sistine Chapel anyone- the outside will fool you). Give your money and business to someone else unless you...
