I sat for over 15 minutes picking up an order and was completely taken back with how rude one of the women in the front were. One of the employees seemed fairly new and the other seemed more like a manager. The one who seemed to be running the front area was rude to a customer. He had been waiting on an order for what seemed like way longer then myself and then after she gave him the food she told him she would be making The drinks. She walked over to The drive through window began talking to one of the other employees and then looked over to the man who was patiently waiting near the counter (where he was when she handed the food to Him) and asked him what he needed and he responded I’m just waiting for the drink. She responded “I just told you I would have it right out in a second”. (Rudely) (knowing he wasn’t even dining in nor did he sit down at any point) I could tell he was confused and felt uncomfortable. He stayed polite and let her know that he had heard her the first time and was only standing there waiting until she had been done so he could get his drink and leave. I couldn’t understand why she felt the need to be that rude when he was standing only In the same spot just waiting for her to make the drink and had seemed to be waiting very patiently the entire time and why she took her time and began talking to an employee before making the drink. I felt terrible for the customer and I decided to leave without even continuing my...
Read moreFirst time ordering from Salsa Verde through Door Dash. Pros: best “crispy” ground beef tacos that I have ever eaten. Was a bit confusing as menu says four but what you get is two tacos each in 2 shells??? Other than that- the tacos were fantastic! chicken peanut salad- a mash up of Asian chicken salad and a taco salad. Weirdest group of ingredients but WOW, they pack a flavor wallop! Definitely something to order again. Portion size was large, too, with a ton of sliced chicken breast. Kind of sad that I didn’t find this restaurant until 5 weeks before I leave Tucson! Mexican street corn- good, would be better without the gloppy nacho cheese on top but I can forgive that since I don’t know of another restaurant that even offers it! Cons: rice and beans are meh. Surprised by that considering the incredible flavor profiles on the other dishes. They felt like a cop out. -fish tacos- don’t even. Equivalent of fish sticks in a shell. Some fresh salsa, pico, anything would have helped but alas, nada. A BIG shout out of thanks to the staff for noticing the request to keep fish items separate due to food allergies. The delivery driver even carried the bags in different hands! So overall? Five stars for service, freshness, and flavor profiles. Three for humdrum rice and beans, and incredibly boring, but edible, fish. Definitely will order again...
Read moreWent when they first opened there was a simpler menu, you could order at the front and not have to wait for waitresses. I came when there were only 3 tables (I can recall when it was packed all the time especially-5pm time frame every day). I asked for table to be cleaned, and the young lady appeared to be upset with the request. She left the table still dirty and wet. I asked for a dry napkin so I could just clean it myself. The tables are sticky so even if it's wiped down the table feels dirty.
Tacos were crispy, but no flavor to shredded beef with added condiments; it was as if I was eating a condiment taco. I asked why plates don't come with rice and beans vs some bullion broth... that's just what they serve. The condiment bar had about 1/3 less choices...
The price for 2 tasteless tacos, a scoop of rice and broth is just not worth it to return. It's sad when restaraunts have stellar service and credible tastig food when they start... until they begin cutting back. Honestly, how much could a scoop of beans cost?
I used to recommend several friends and acquaintances- not any more. I will stick to LA Friedas on 22nd, less than 2 miles away... the experience is worth it there. I hope they...
