My husband and I went there tonight for a date night. It started great, good food and drinks, karaoke night, we were sitting at the bar. An older man sat next to me and started hitting on me but I ignored him. The karaoke was entertaining and we enjoyed the bartenders tremendously! I was slightly uncomfortable by the man next to me who was constantly looking at me, but that happens and he had made conversation about Mardi Gras and I am Cajun. Later he appeared to be leaving and showed me something on his phone which was a football icon. I mentioned that we had opposing teams. We talked a bit about my team and then I asked him who he thought his team would be picking up for quarterback this season. For me it seemed like an innocent question. But he went off on me and threatened me. My husband intervened. The staff of OTR chose to kick us all out, even though my husband and I had done nothing. They didnāt even ask us what had happened. Just took our drinks and told us to leave! But 2 of the bartenders said that the guy was a drunk and they knew him by name! Edit: thank you for reaching out and understanding! It was a frightening experience for me and I had never been through someone becoming so angry and violent over what I thought was just simple, polite conversation. I appreciate that you are working with your staff on this matter. We have been regulars for a while and have always had great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe first couple of times I went to OTR, it was great. However, the last 3 times have been subpar. Maybe itās the older waitress and new waiter just trying to figure things out. I even thought that maybe I was 86ād because I waited 45 minutes during Happy Hour and never got served. I had to go to the bar and order, I only had 15 minutes of Happy Hour :-( I will say this, the bartender with the beard and always wears a tank top, He is AWESOME!! He never has let me down. You need more like him and less like the older lady and new guy. If they are offended, then itās time to get new staff. Iām appalled by their lack of attention to the floor. Please get more like my man behind the bar. It will be a great thing for this place!
Oh and they water down the ranch with the wings. Very dumb idea. We notice.
Update: So I guess the new guy isnāt new. I found out he is the GM. Well, Iām really disappointed now. He gave me a menu with in moments of sitting on the couch but then never.. NEVER.. came back. After going to the bar to order my drink, 30 minutes later I had to flag him down. Sorry bro but not sorry. You need to consider all areas of the establishment. The couch area is included. Iām not happy at all knowing he is the GM. I was going easy when I thought he was a new guy. Really dude, why? Why did you just keep...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in town visiting with my sister and we decided to stop in for a cocktail on Feb 25th. It wasn't too busy so we sat at the bar. I ordered the dirty birdie which is served with blue cheese stuffed olives. (Which is why I ordered it)The bartender brought my drink back with regular olives. I realized it and asked nicely if I could have the olives with blue cheese because that is what was advertised. She let me know it would be a minute because she had to wait on others at the bar. So I waited until she pretty much served everyone else. (All men). Then set a glass of olives out in front of me. Then kept serving others. Then, took them to the kitchen to have them stuffed and finally brought them back and set them in front of me to add them to my stick in my glass. I was very put off by her lack of customer service. We were the only females in the bar and I got the impression that she didn't feel we would tip her well because we were females. I am a excellent tipper, however this would not be the case that day. We would have stayed and had another drink and or some food if I felt comfortable. Instead we left because we didn't feel like we were welcome. Unfortunately I will not be back the next time I come to town. There are many other places that will give much better...
