I have gone back and forth for a few months on whether or not I should leave this review and decided I think it is very worth sharing. My mom and I got massages here while in the Tucson area in June due to her brother dying (we are from Ohio). I read the rave reviews and wanted to try out a small business instead of getting massages at our hotel. My masseuse was Camille who I purposely selected after seeing a lot of positive reviews regarding their experience with her. Mine on the other hand was very bizarre. She was nice enough but was very awkward when I said I was visiting due to my uncle's death. Her response was along the lines of "uhhhhhh that's uncomfortable" accompanied by a deadpan facial expression. It was a weird way to start off the service but I chalked it up to maybe a bit of social discomfort or an off day. During my massage, which was pretty good, she talked to me almost the entire time, despite my several attempts saying "okay I am going to relax and stop talking now". The reason for this review is that at one point, she inquired about a tattoo I have on my hand of Medusa, stating that people get them if they have been sexually assaulted. This was the most inappropriate comment I have ever heard from anyone in my life. I worked in a salon as an esthetician for almost 10 years and I could not imagine ever saying anything of the sort to someone. I was trying to my best to entertain her talking prior to this comment - which I am wondering if made her feel like she had the right to make such an off color statement. This remark made be so beyond uncomfortable and ruined the entire service as well as my entire day. Inquiring about sexual assault to a stranger while they are naked on a massage bed that you are performing is absolutely inconceivable to me. The second remark was in regards to where my mom and I were staying (Hacienda Del Sol which I highly recommend). She said she was surprised we didn't get massages there instead and told me that she and her sister went for a birthday and had an absolutely terrible meal. It was honestly one of the most awkward encounters I have ever had receiving any service let alone an intimate one like a massage. I say all of this to say, it was a very uncomfortable and...
Read moreI have been receiving massage/body work to treat my Fibromyalgia symptoms for the past 30 years. The body work I've received at Nature's Spa has been the most helpful of my life. The deep tissue massage work from both Wei and Olivia revealed they each had a refined knowledge of physiology and a deeply intuitive sense of my needs regarding depth of pressure and strength of motion. Their massage techniques are masterful. Through the Reflexology administered by Wei, I have experienced a dramatic improvement in my long-standing issues with insomnia. I am now achieving deeper and longer sleep after only two sessions of reflexology. Wei is especially gifted and superbly trained in acupuncture. I have been able to abandon the use of cortisone injections to relieve the arthritic pain I have in my hip and pain related to TMJ. What a wonderful relief! Nature's Spa has a calm atmosphere throughout the entire facility; from the demeanor of the therapists to the decor of the private therapy rooms, the client is enveloped in an environment of serenity. The environment is peaceful and relaxing. I cannot praise the skill and integrity of the staff any higher. This is a remarkable addition to Tucson's alternative health-care offerings. You will not regret your visit here. It is an outstanding opportunity to achieve better health. I am so grateful for the improvement I have experienced coping with pain due to my sessions at...
Read moreThis is a phenomenal little place. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is tranquil and relaxing. I had the pleasure and honor to have Peggy as the massage therapist that worked on me. She is such a delight, very sweet, has great communication, and extremely skillful and talented. I had 60 minute massage along with an added 30 minute reflexology and some other added features. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, I’m constantly in some degree of pain. My experience as Peggy worked on me was beyond relieving in numerous ways, not only physically, emotionally and spiritually for me as well. I could tell she knew how to really listen to the body, pouring her heart into her work. After my massage and reflexology my body was relaxed, relieved, and the arthritic pain, fibromyalgia pain, other pain/baggage I experience lessened noticeably. If you have any form of arthritis, fibromyalgia, or others in which cause pain and strain to your body; no, this will not cure it or 100% take away all of your pain, however it most certainly may help you as it has me. I will definitely be returning on a more frequent basis. Absolutely outstanding. I’m very happy I have found this little place. Thank you Peggy and...
