I went in looking for a combo weight loss option. I told them I was concerned about phentermine because I'd heard it can cause heart complications. But because they wanted to sell it to me, they told me those studies were overblown, and the heart complications were rare and I really didn't have much to be concerned about. So I purchased that and the Semaglutide (ozempic) injections - Oprah had intense weight loss success and I was interested. I received NO warnings other than this medication might cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, and rarely vomiting. I was given no other warnings about this medication by the doctor.
Next month, I discontinued use of the Semaglutide, thinking I could get it cheaper elsewhere (RMWL prices are $400 plus per month). The month after that I asked about adding it back in, and mentioned an apprehension I had because of a study I'd read showing that this medication caused muscle atrophy. The doctor was very quick to dismiss this, AND contradict her earlier statement about phentermine. She said to me, the only reason there is muscle atrophy is because people don't exercise, they're losing weight anyways, so they continue to not exercise thus leading to muscle loss. She then went on to tell me HOW MUCH SAFER THIS DRUG WAS THAN PHENTERMINE BECAUSE OF THE KNOWN CARDIOVASCULAR ISSUES IT CAUSES.....
This clinic is blatantly lying to customers to sell them harmful medications.
Come to find out, and NO ONE IN THE FACILITY TOLD ME, Semaglutide causes (might be irreversible, unknown) stomach muscle paralysis, and THAT'S why you lose weight taking it. OR that it causes kidney and liver damage! Also, NO-ONE at the facility told me that I'd have to subscribe to this medication FOR LIFE! But that's the reality of that drug.
And here we are, after being LIED DIRECTLY TO MY FACE about medication concerns I had, to omitting SERIOUS side effects and the life long nature of this medication, I don't trust this facility, and wish I could get my money back - BTW this drug is very expensive and they will happily kill you with it - never mentioning the severe and adverse side effects that go along with taking it.
And ^^^^THIS is why the American public has almost 0 trust in the medical community in 2024. You've lied, misdirected, and omitted - contributing to illness and death - INSTEAD OF HEALING like your oath dictates. #ShameOnYou
From the provider in response to this review: "We would never lie to our patients" Is that right? Your staff (a doctor in fact, Nikki) told me that phentermine doesn't cause heart complications, only very very rarely, because I was hesitant to purchase that drug from your office. THEN on a subsequent office visit the same 'doctor', when I showed hesitancy in re-purchasing Semaglutide because I'd read that it causes muscle atrophy, told me that those studies were overblown and that people were only experiencing that because they weren't exercising and still losing weight. She went on to tell me how much safer Semaglutide was then PHENTERMINE - because of the heart complications phentermine is known to cause.....Those are blatant LIES. And YOUR 'doctor' told them to a patient. To get them to spend money in your facility!
cringe You shouldn't use the term 'misinformation' if you EVER want your patients to trust you again. That's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came to RM to lose weight in a safe and healthy way under the care of medical providers. I did it successfully 8ish years ago and I wanted to lose 30 pounds again.
While everyone was nice, I do not think that I got what I paid for. The very first day I went and got my blood drawn for tests. This is done so they can know that you are healthy enough to go on the diet (the classic rm3 diet is only about 400 calories a day). They never received my bloodwork and never let me know until a month later that they did not receive my bloodwork. This says to me that no one was checking for it and even if they did receive it, no one would have made sure it was okay until my 1 month check in. This is concerning to me with such a strict diet. On top of that, when I did come in for my 1 month check in, I was told to call and ask for it instead of the practice following up on it. For $500 a month, I expect them to follow up on it from the beginning. Also, my bloodwork might have explained why I was so perpetually exhausted.
On top of that, I was told that my lifetime maintenance would be 1280 calories. That is the BMR (the very bare minimum to live) for someone that is 125 pounds when my goal weight was 135 pounds and I am a relatively active person. I feel that is irresponsible as if one is in a deficit too long, the body adjusts to it and you should NOT be in a lifetime deficit.
Honestly, don't be lazy. Just do a calorie deficit and have the discipline on your own or find a reputable nutritionist to guide your journey as red mountain will not be the place for you if your health is important to you.
EDIT: In response to Erinn:
Sample day of eating: 7 ounces of 93 lean ground turkey: 298 cal 3 cups of cauliflower: 81 cal 2 cups of strawberries: 98 cal Closer to 500 calories but still low enough imo to warrant caution and medical supervision (which I would have been happy enough to call regarding the bloodwork if it was asked of me sooner).
2nd month of maintenance calories was bumped up to 1000 cal.
Lifetime maintenance bumped up to 1280 cal as stated.
It was explained quite well to me and still quite low for lifetime...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had this review in the past for them with one star:
"When thereās no results, they stop following up. And they donāt have answers for why some people donāt get results after 2-3 years doing it. Like you only get results first time! I have done everything as diet, but no changes. So they stopped following up or wondering why I havenāt get results. So Iām so upset for the last 500$ I spent there. Not worth it."
But after they kindly contacted me and we discussed my situation which showed me how much they cared about reviews and following up with customers, they helped me start a new month by replacing my old prescription for free. Because I have stoped last prescription at day 10 and they were expired. But still giving me a new refill without charging me showed me how much they want me to try again and they wanted me to see the same result I had in the past that I was happy with. That showed me how much they support. I started again, and I am in contact with the team at RM3 to make sure I will get the results I...
