I ordered two items off the menu this was my first time ordering from vitality bowl. I called to let the place know I got caught in a meeting and that I will not be there at the time that I have had originally put in for the order the girl that I spoke with said that it was OK and the food would be ready when I get there when I showed up, I had to wait in line for 5 to 6 minutes with two girls in the back that saw me at least three times and failed to acknowledge me finally came up to the front and I said I was there to pick up an order by the way they do have a sign that says pick up orders here and there is no bell to ring picked up my order. Got back to work and to find out that they overload the bowl with rice which is a pesto bowl with quinoa and rice brown rice that was overcooked. It was so hard that it hurt my teeth. I could not eat the bowl. I called the store to let them know my experience and Maverick the guy that said he was the only manager available and there was no one else that I can speak with and failed to give me anybody’s information to pass on, stated that he was sorry and that he will talk to the staff. I wanted a refund because I didn’t even eat anything off that bowl it was so hard. It hurt my teeth and he basically said that he had to deal with another customer while he was on the phone with me and that he was gonna put me on hold so I just hung up but overall the ball was horrible not worth $15 and the service was very poor with the two young girls working...
Read moreFirst time here and ordered through the very easy to navigate app. Inside is kind of a hodgepodge of different places and unless you pay close attention to the little stickers on the Kiosks, you may end up at the coffee kiosk like I did.
I ordered the Berry Protein smoothie and Chimichurri steak wrap. The wrap was better than average but didn’t blow my socks off. The ingredients were fresh with great flavor but an overwhelming amount of red onions and sunflower seeds. If I visit here again, I’d opt out of them on the app.
The smoothie though. I wish I’d have tried it there and not 15 min away at my office. I say with full confidence that this was the worst smoothie I have ever had. I however am also confident I received the wrong one as after looking back at the app, it appears to be a pink in color whereas the one I received was a deep dark purple and an overpowering bitter earthy taste instead of fresh fruits and berries.
Overall, I’m giving a 3 star review where any large chain would have received a 1. I respect that it’s a newer restaurant and I don’t want a 1 star review to negatively effect the rating as Tucson is already hurting for health conscious restaurants.
To wrap up, I think if I go again I’d do the wrap again, but maybe elsewhere for a smoothie. But there’s also the concern I received the wrong one and maybe the one I should have received is...
Read moreI went in there to get a cup of coffee from Savaya but the barista was sick so they had a tiny little note and then when I asked about it, the people at vitality bowls said they couldn't help me with coffee for some reason. I don't know if it's two different businesses, but that's neither here nor there. Kind of a snarky attitude from the clerk and from what I could gather the food is quite pricey. The only thing I ordered was a can of yerba matte since I was expecting caffeinated coffee and that was the only thing I could really get. The atmosphere seems quite stuffy. I witnessed a number of people come in and they just kind of sat there and waited for what seemed like a long time for a smoothie to be made. I just had an air of pretentiousness and on top of it they don't have Wi-Fi. So if you want to plug in to do any work you have to use your odd spot or if you have Cox internet you can use the available internet from the building. Hopefully someday I'll get to come back and order coffee but probably won't even step foot in this...
