Prefacing my saying I never write bad reviews or complain. If I don’t like something I generally say oh well. I have been working over the last 6 months to get my hair back to my natural hair color from black after 3 years of coloring it. I was working with a different salon but the stylist had rescheduled my appointments last minute for the last 4 times. I thought I would try somewhere new. Lone star is supposed to be one of the best ones around so that is why I chose it. I scheduled online and it was booked with Kaitlyn. I let her know I did not like the red and orange tones in the brown and a couple blonde pieces that naturally grow blonde. I just wanted these pieces lightened. The only question she asked for the color is if I wanted a gloss. I didn’t know what that mean so I said I’m not sure what that means and she just repeated asking if I wanted a gloss for the brown. So I said sure I guess whatever you think will look good for the brown. She bleached entire face framing from ear to ear all the way up to my root and it was a terrible bright yellow color. Previously my hair was already perfectly blended I just wanted the pieces lighter that were already bleached. I figured it would be okay because it looked ok down but as soon as I put my hair up in a pony tail when I got home I looked like the yellow Telly tubby. I cried my eyes out and immediately colored it a temporary purple that I already have. I cried to my mom about it and she told me I should tell the salon. I let her supervisor Stephanie know what happened to wish was just noted that they wished they could turn back time. This was double the price that I was paying at my previous salon to which I always left happy just unreliable when I have to schedule time off work and baby sitter. Paid $260 before tip and still tipped her $80.

Read moreThis is a follow up from my last review after getting the most delicate, gorgeous butterfly cut from Stephanie! That first appointment was cut only to get my straggly ends off and prep my hair to head back in the blonde direction.
YA’LL- Stephanie understood the assignment. Historically I’ve always went bleach and tone, but this time around, I really wanted to try a dimensional blonde to allow some of my natural dark to shine through, with a really shiny front framing money piece! This is in just one appointment ^OO^ We had plans to maybe go brighter, but honestly, she killed this in the first session… I think I’m already considering myself on maintenance! Including several befores, so you can see exactly how dark my hair was when I walked in, as well as the stellar afters.
Girl, thank you, thank you thank you! I feel like I am absolutely glimmering, and there’s nothing better than feeling rooted in how you look. I also really respected the professionalism when my session took a bit longer than expected, which I was totally OK with, but she included a complementary hair masking service for me for the unexpected time delay. Just so top-notch.
Really cannot wait for our September session :) you are a...
Read moreI just moved to Olympia from LA, and I had no idea where to go to get my hair cut, colored, and styled. After lots of research and reading reviews, I chose to book with Lonestar. I decided on Lonestar because of their website (client photos, stylist bios, match quiz, and photos that they carry Kerastase because the salon has to be good if they carry Kerastase).
I am beyond thrilled to have chosen Lonestar! When I called, the 3 stylists the quiz recommended were fully booked, but the receptionist made the best recommendation for my needs - JAYDEN!
Jayden was amazing! We had great conversation, I felt comfortable and valued, and my hair looks naturally and effortlessly gorgeous!
I can’t wait to come back.
Thank you, Jayden and the Lonestar team! I have a ln extra pep in my step, and I am holding my head up a little bit higher...
