Kluh Art Gallery — Attraction in Tumwater

I recall my first time being aware of Julie’s art. I believe it was an Instagram post of this gal who sailed from island to island in the tropics, collecting shells, painting incredible small wave and ocean scenes, I never quit looking for her feed. I have watched her paint increasingly larger canvases and really finding her sweet spot in water. I had the great pleasure of traveling to see a friend in Olympia and went to a gallery where her work was being shown. I swear I could feel the salt spray on my face. So beautiful. Now she is in her own gallery, and she has inspired me to work on my painting every day. She is a true water baby, kind, talented, always takes a moment to respond to a compliment. My husband and I commissioned two large pieces from Julie Kluh. We are blown away by her talent. I could stare at her artwork for hours. I've been to the Kluh Art gallery a few times and I am always pleased to see new pieces, each unique and packed with beauty. Julie's artwork is a local treasure! I love that you can buy original pieces but there are also many prints and misc. items for sale at a lower price point. Recently I bought some smaller items for holiday gifts. The ocean is my happy place. When I first saw Julie's work in a mutual friend's home, I knew I had to buy a piece of her artwork but I didn't have walls large enough to accommodate something so big (and trust me I wanted to). I was delighted to find that Julie's art is available to all budgets. I purchased two prints and framed them myself and then two canvas pieces that help create a calm space in our bedroom.
