I recently visited a restaurant that, while offering good food, left me feeling frustrated with the service and their approach to customer satisfaction. We were greeted by a new waitress, which is understandable, but every time we asked a question, she had to check with the manager. The first issue arose when I asked if I could get the Monster Burger with just one patty instead of the usual two ½ lb patties. I can’t handle a 1 lb burger, so I thought it was a reasonable request. They agreed, but the manager informed me that the price would remain the same. While I was disappointed by that response, I let it go without further comment. Next came the issue with the restaurant's 15% discount for first responders and students. As nursing students, we qualified, but one of us didn’t have ID . The restaurant only honored the discount on one meal, excluding the second burger and our drinks. When I pointed out that this felt a bit nitpicky, especially since both our burgers arrived without the crispy onions they were supposed to come with, the manager’s response was less than ideal. She claimed that we must have eaten them without mentioning anything, but I calmly explained that we had actually asked for the onions on the side after they were forgotten. After some back and forth with the servers, the manager finally agreed to discount the second meal, though still not the drinks. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. The discount, which was supposed to be a gesture of appreciation for healthcare workers, didn’t feel very welcoming or "thankful." Instead, it came across as a series of small, inconvenient hurdles that left us feeling more like an afterthought than valued guests. While the food was decent, the service and the handling of simple issues could use some serious...
Read moreBeware! I began frequenting Jams, a couple of months ago. It was introduced by a friend who has been a long time customer. During our first visit the food took over an hour to prepare and most of our party was done eating before receiving the remainder of our order without explanation, when we asked to cancel we kept being told it would be just a few more minutes.... The food was mediocre at best, but the breaded garlic parmesan wings were delicious! I visited another time for the wings and ordered the PB/J burger, it was ok, but nothing to write home about. The wings were still good. I visited for my 3rd and last time this week, we ordered wings, fries and crispy green beans - but this time the wings were inconsistent with previous visits. I mentioned it to our server who explained there was a new cook which might be why they tasted different, the wings were so salty that they upset my stomach and made my tongue sting, even after picking off all of the parmesan and garlic and trying to use a sweet dip to mask the flavor. It was unpalatable. The green beans were greasy and very spicy, unlike previous times. After letting the server know she told us the manager refused to replace or remove the chicken or green beans from our check and offered just a $2 discount since "we ate the food"! we only had 2 wings and returned the rest of the entire order. I will never go back. It is unfair and bad business to jip your customers and the local community that supports your business, especially when it's obvious that the food quality is compromised and there is a new cook, all aligning with our complaints. I won't go back. The servers are friendly, attentive, and provide good service, but it's not worth the difference in taste,...
Read moreUnfortunately, the owner of this business is unethical and steals from its customers. If you come here, check your bill. The menu says one price but your bill shows another. I let the waitress know of the discrepancy and she replied the menu is old and hasn’t been updated. So, how many customers didn’t catch the discrepancy and lost money. How much money has this business stolen from its customers over the years because they didn’t update the prices on their menu? How long have they been cheating customers out of their money while advising the menu is old when they get caught?
Also, I ordered a quesadilla and they didn’t even have any type of hot sauce…not one single type. They also didn’t have pico de gallo which is a given for every bar/restaurant I’ve been to when ordering tacos or quesadillas.
They also charged me .50 cents for chipotle sauce. Looks like the owner here will nickle and dime you for a sauce. They don’t even have a single hot sauce for it customers.
I ordered beers. On my last order, one waitress forgot about my beer and I patiently waited 10 minutes. I flagged down another waitress and asked for my beer.
Most of the service was good but definitely needs improvement. Owner is unethical, I don’t recommend coming here. If you do,...
