Michaels — Attraction in Tustin

I frequent this Michael's store for numerous crafts I do, currently mostly for embroidery floss.

The store is little (by comparison) but they have still been able to pack in loads of things for numerous hobbies. It unfortunately means they are tight for walking space but I've yet to see this store crowded so it isn't a big deal.

For the stuff I pay attention to; the embroidery floss is always filled with almost all colours and supplies can sometimes be lacking but not for long, the yarn selection is decently stocked, the kids arts & crafts section is impressive, painting of all types is represented well, decent amount of lettering tools & equipment (not dip pens but that's to be expected), a massive selection of journaling supplies, small-ish framing section and their "flavour of the month/holiday" bit at the front is usually impressive.

The staff leave a bit to be desired as a whole (flat, uninterested, sparse) but a few at the cashiers are extremely friendly and helpful.

I attempted to get custom framing done at Michael's, and the experience was incredibly frustrating.My initial visit was a complete mess. The staff member assisting me was repeatedly pulled away by the manager for breaks and lunch, leaving me waiting outside the store multiple times. I was told to return the next day to continue, and the same situation occurred. It was clear that the staffing was inadequate. Despite the framing assistant being pleasant and very helpful Kim & framing assistance was great and very apologetic , but the process was chaotic. Like the manager says “they have to go to lunch, sir. “ , I understand they have to take a break and go to lunch, but why isn’t there anybody else there to assist clients while they’re on break or lunch?

After finally leaving my items for framing, they were completed incorrectly on two separate occasions. This was not due to the framing team, it was the manager of the store once again pulling them away and not putting the correct order in the system. WORST STORE EVER. I gave it one star because I can't give it zero. I was looking for an item by the skew number and they said it was only available online... HOWEVER, the next Micheals I called said its sold in stores and they have it at all locations. I will never shop at this one again despite it being closer to me. TWO THUMBS WAAAAAY DOWN.

**UPDATE: I called to complain about their shoddy service to one of the Managers (Nick or Todd) and they HUNG UP ON ME!! I wasn't rude, or using fowl language I was simply explaining that perhaps they should've double checked the item number before telling me the product was only available online because now I have to pay extra for shipping when they HAVE the product in stock. Worst customer service around. I'm out extra money because of them and if the manager is that rude they don't deserve your business either go to the...
