Ok so I went into this GameStop yesterday afternoon during my break at work. I went into see if they had this lugi hat on stock that search online and the GameStop database said it was “limited in stock” so I finally got around to biding this GameStop that I haven’t been inside in years maybe atleast 5. They ended up having the hat in stock and while I was there all this other cool stuff caught my eye. Some of the stuff didn’t have prices on them so I asked the clerk their “Franco” if he could tell me the prices. He was extremely helpful and gave good “customer service” to where I wanted to give a review. There’s been many of times I’ve shopped at stores or other gamestops in the past and employees where seemingly just there and not really into helping customers as they should. But Franco was as hell and informed of like inventory when I asked about Nintendo switches and what games u can play on them and he was telling me about saving on the powerup rewards program. Let’s just say I went in there for that lugi hat but ended up buying so much more because I felt good while shopping. It even triggered something in me to check my wallet and reminded me I had an old GameStop gift card hidden in the back slot of it that happened to have $15 on it from how ever the hell long ago. Not to make a long story longer I just felt like when I was a kid again and had a good experience at this GameStop and definitely will becoming back for gaming and clothing needs when I want to splurge. Thank you Franco for being cool and...
Read moreTerrible location. STAY AWAY!!! Save yourself the trouble and take the longer to trip to a different location. Watchung and Hillside are both within a close distance of this location. I would give ZERO STARS if possible! The employees are very unprofessional, and try their hardest to upsell you on unnecessary items. And if you don’t buy them, they treat you horrible and won’t sell to you. I wanted a Nintendo Switch 2 for my son, and while the employee was ringing me up, he tells me I have to sign up for an account that costs 25 dollars to be able to buy the device. I said I don’t want to do that, and his response back to me was that I have to. I’ve never seen such sales tactics anywhere else, that should be illegal. I asked if there was a free account with no perks, and he strongly suggested I make the purchase after I repeatedly told him no. He then asks for my ID?? As if I’m at the club Lol. He scans my ID and says that I have 4 different accounts in my name that have made purchases recently for a Nintendo switch. I told him that’s impossible and I’ve never bought one before. I asked to make an account and he refused service. I will never come here again. If I could get the place shut down from just writing reviews, I would. I’ll certainly be looking into how I can get the employee reprimanded for his...

I had one of the worst retail experiences I’ve ever had at this GameStop location.
I came in with my brother to trade in a PS4 controller. The manager on duty (no name tag, wearing a Pokémon fish-print shirt) spoke to us in a rude, condescending manner throughout the visit. He incorrectly claimed we could only get store credit for the damaged controller and failed to mention there was a cash option—which we later learned was available.
When my brother decided to purchase a controller grip after the trade-in, the manager publicly scolded the employee assisting us, saying things like, “Why are we doing a second transaction?” and “Now you’re ruining your numbers. And he’s not even a Pro member.” He also made a strange comment about how “kids always do this.” It was completely unprofessional and made both the employee and us extremely uncomfortable.
I left the store feeling disrespected and genuinely upset. I’ve worked in customer service before, and this is not how you treat paying customers or your own staff. We won’t be returning, and I hope GameStop takes a closer look at the management at...
