A Night of Nightmare: A Cautionary Tale at [Deep Indian Kitchen (Union)]
I recently had a horrific experience at Deep Indian Kitchen that has left me traumatized. My family and I were enjoying a meal when a series of unfortunate events unfolded. My husband went to order, and I realized I had left my purse on our table. While we waited for our food, I went to the counter to retrieve it. Unfortunately, I forgot to return to our table before we left.
To my horror, I realized my mistake only ten minutes later. Upon returning to the restaurant, I discovered my purse was missing. I immediately began receiving notifications of fraudulent charges on my credit and debit cards. Panic set in as I realized I had lost my car keys, license, and a significant amount of cash my mother had given me for my birthday.
I immediately called 911, and the police arrived promptly. While on the phone with my bank to cancel my cards, I discovered that the transactions were still occurring. A tracking device on my purse revealed its location nearby.
Despite providing all the necessary information, the restaurant staff was uncooperative. They initially claimed to have no access to the security footage and insisted that the person with access was unavailable. However, after some time, the police were informed that the footage had been deleted from the server.
This incident has caused me immense stress and anxiety. I lost valuable belongings, including my identification and cash. The fraudulent charges have been a significant financial burden. I am deeply disappointed by the restaurant's lack of accountability and transparency. I believe they are protecting someone involved in this incident.
I urge potential customers to be cautious when dining at [Restaurant Name]. My experience has left me feeling unsafe...
Read moreI have been coming here since the store opened. The service used to be really good. I only order dried goods online to pick up. Usually it’s ready and waiting. Today was not the case.
The lady behind the counter was not paying attention and only doing 1 order at a time. My order was placed at 7:00 and said pick up at 7:10. I saw she was doing stuff and waited. But after It turned 730 I went up to the counter. She started asking the guy behind me about his order and didn’t even acknowledge me. And I know she couldn’t miss me cause I was standing in front of her. The guy behind even apologized cause he didn’t realize no one took care of me. I put my stuff on the counter and my order was placed online- can I get a bag. And she didn’t listen that I said my order was placed online and proceeded to ring it up. I said my order was already paid for. Can you just give me a bag. My order was supposed to be ready at 7:10. I didn’t leave until 7:40.
This has never happened before. She didn’t even apologize or acknowledge. She seemed to be taking her time and not paying attention to the orders coming in or the people walking in the door. If that type of service persists your business will close. Others in the line heard me and said jeez. They couldn’t believe it. So it’s safe to say please have more people in front on a Friday night or someone experienced to...
Read moreWe've been seeing this infrastructure since we moved to NJ, finally they opened their door.. they have multiple cashless kiosk to place an order. The only problem with such ordering is that, order can't be customized. e.g. I hate cilantro. But there is no way to tell that to the kiosk so that there is no bucket of cilantro dumped in my food like it happened 😡😑😵
We ordered the potato-pea and chicken samosa, chicken biryani, dal and mango and vanilla soft serve. Samosa could be ordered with multiple chutneys. I chose chili 🌶️ chutney. For the biriyani I requested spice level 🌶️🌶️🌶️.
Instead of chicken samosa, we were given goat samosa!?! 🤔 Chill chutney was sweeter than spicy. What a shame. Biryani was bombarded with cilantro. After sorting out 10000001 pieces of cilantro, biriyani tasted alright. Spice level was just ok for me but a little too much for hubby 😜. Dal was ok. Nothing to rave about. The original samosa was pretty tasty. But the goat one, I couldn't stand the smell, hubby said it was okay. Their soft serve machine was not working so they gave us mango 🥭 lassi, which hubby wanted to begin with, but kiosk didn't show that option?!
Overall, a place with good enough food to stop by again. Not scratching it off of the...
