Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant — Restaurant in Union

This was my first time visiting this particular Golden Krust location. I ordered 1 shrimp patty, 1 curry chicken patty, and a pina colada smoothie. The young lady at the register went and told another lady ( who makes the smoothies) that she had a smoothie order. The lady looked annoyed, and probably was, because it appeared a customer a couple people ahead of me had ordered the same smoothie, so by the time I reached the front of the line, the blender had been washed and set out to dry. I guess the lady thought it was her last smoothie of the night, and then here I come ordering a smoothie. Once she finished making the smoothie, it was dripping on the sides and onto the table, she wiped it the sides of the smoothie with a clean napkin then wiped the table with the same napkin. The smoothie kept dripping, she paused for a minute and looked at the napkin dispenser, as to take a clean napkin, HOWEVER, she didn't. She used the same napkin she had just wiped the table area with to clean the lid and sides of the smoothie! Yuck. On top of that, my order was wrong. I received a beef patty instead of jerk chicken. I could have dealt with that, however the smoothie situation I can't. If it is to much of a hassle to make a smoothie, perhaps they should stop making them after a certain hour, or not at all if it's going to compromise the standard of...

Terrible experience with these people. Ordered online. When I picked up the food, they didn't more than have half of the stuff I ordered. They couldn't issue me a refund at the time because the manager wasn't there, but would receive it the next day. Waited 3 days and still no refund. Had to call them to get the refund. Manager wasn't there again so they said I'd have to call again. Called the next day. They said I'd get the refund, but when I finally got it, it was only a partial refund. Called again and at first they said they already gave me the refund that I was supposed to get. They said since I swapped the beyond beef patties with the veggie and spinach patties, that I wouldn't be getting a refund. I had to explain to them their own prices. I was supposed to be refunded for 4 beyond beef patties ($20.80 total) minus 2 veggie patties ($5.90 total) and 2 spinach patties ($5.90 total), which should be $9. They finally said they'd refund me. I waited 4 days and no refund. Called them AGAIN. Again they said I wouldn't be getting a refund since I swapped the patties. While I genuinely appreciate supporting businesses that celebrate Jamaican culture, my experience with this particular Golden Krust establishment has been consistently disappointing. The main reason I discontinued ordering from them is the unacceptably rude behavior of the women working there.

It's disheartening to encounter staff members who act as though they are begrudgingly fulfilling their job duties. Their attitude comes across as dismissive and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, I have experienced an incident where one employee even shouted at me during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, which was incredibly unprofessional and inexcusable.

As someone who genuinely wanted to support this establishment due to its cultural significance, this kind of treatment is discouraging. No customer should feel as though they are being done a favor when placing an order. The incident during the pandemic was the last straw for me, and I've since chosen to take my business elsewhere.
