St Cecilia Conservatory School of Music — Attraction in Upper Darby

Mrs Dolores is such a talented teacher and she has a wonderful disposition and personality as well. My sons joined the school to learn piano and guitar about a year ago and they have progressed so far in just over a year of lessons. When I enrolled them I just wanted an activity to pass the time but with her instruction, I feel my son can actually become a very talented pianist.

Before coming here we looked at several other schools and honestly one that we selected turned out to be a major disappointment as the instructor appeared disinterested unless you have a grand piano at home to practice on, or unless your goal was to be at the Curtis Music Institute. Mrs Dolores approach was way more friendly, welcoming, and she makes my son enjoy the class, not dread it like the plague.

St. Cecilia music school is a true gem in the area and I thank Mrs. Dolores profusely for being such a great teacher. Also she is innovative and savvy as my son's class moved to Zoom meetings without a hitch when Covid19 hit and interfered with life.

Dolores is an EXCELLENT piano teacher! She is a music extraordinaire! Dolores teaches hands-on. She teaches fundamentals which is the key to learning any instrument. Dolores' patience is unbeatable and she is very supportive. Each lesson with Dolores brings you one step closer to becoming a wonder piano player. I write this not as a student, but as an observer of the results of Dolores' teaching and sharing of her love of classical music. Friends of mine are her students and very happy with her knowledge and method of teaching. My wife and I have been at Dolores' house when she has opened her home to anyone wanting to listen to her perform the music of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, etc. A revival of the "salon" type of musical experience is happening in Lansdowne thanks to Dolores.
