Look at the overall rating! 4.7 stars, 140+ reviews. What are you even doing here? This place is clearly amazing. Posting a review incase someone is looking for which guy to go to. I went for the first time and saw James. James took me in later than my appointment, and unlike other people, I appreciated it. If your barber took longer on someone else to ensure everything is perfect, he will do the same with you. You wouldn't want him/her to rush you out before making sure everything is tip top. James, like everyone else in there is an incredible barber. Made it like look like I got a 100$ hair cut, I came home and my wife was super impressed and happy. He did exactly what I wanted without me describing it much. He was also awesome conversation, even though we had nothing in common. He put up with my silly small talk like a champ and it was a great time. 30$ for a haircut of this quality is a good price and if you're happy with paying that, look no further in Vancouver. I will be coming back.

Update: Noah is incredible, couldn't recommend him more. Master at cutting hair and just a really great guy with good conversation. No better feeling than the barber showing you the cut and you not having to lie that you like it lol. Love walking out of a barbershop stoked...

I had heard about VBC for quite a while, as I spend a fair amount of time in the downtown area.

Most of the time, I will get a hair cut and let it grow for a year or more before even contemplating a haircut. As the long hair was getting in the way and annoying for me, I sought out a barber to fix me up. I booked an appointment through VBC's website, and since I didn't know anything about the barbers at the shop, I selected "any available" barber for my cut.

My appointment was with Mateo, and he did a great job. Wasn't too talkative, which for it being an early morning appointment was almost a preference for me. In the end, Mateo did a great job, and I really like the haircut I recieved.

There was a slight issue with the scheduling/pricing online. The website does say that "long cut" is for styling long hair, and "haircut" covers chopping off long hair to a shorter style. This could have been my mistake in reading, but regardless, when I shared this with Mateo, he was understanding, and expressed that normally it would have been the long cut price. It was very cool of him to honor this price, especially as I could have pulled out more money at their in house ATM. Thanks for understanding Mateo!

VBC will definitely be receiving my business...

This is the first time I've gotten a hair cut that I didn't regret immediately after getting. That's huge for me. I highly advise going with my good friend Mateo - I had no idea what I wanted and he just hooked me up with a style I can mess up and yet it still looks good! The atmosphere is really upbeat in general and you'll have a really good time! The other barber was a super nice fellow! Their prices might seem a little high for a barber, but the quality far surpasses the quality of any level 4 or 5 salon stylist I've gotten (Paying $50-60 a haircut) and any rando barber shop! This is no typical barber shop, they really know what they're doing. They put a lot of a care into their work! I seriously won't trust anyone else with my hair from now on - these boys are solid! Thank you! God...
