This is Wednesday May 20th , 2020. I went to my local Kroger on Northwoods Ave. in Vandalia Ohio 45377 (where I go 3 to 4 times weekly). And I went down the toilet paper aisle. There was no pricing on the shelves for any of the in stock product. Including toilet paper and paper towels. I asked for someone to come down the aisle so I could check the prices. I was told by a Customer Service Manager that if I wanted the price then id have to carry them up , wait in line and have the price checked. That is totally unacceptable. So I asked for the store manager and a 20 to 23yo kid came and talked to me. His badge said store management not store manager but I gave him a try. He proceeds to tell me that they are doing their best to keep up with turnover and demand. I said thats great but I was in the store on the 17th and there were no prices then either. At that point he offered to scan the products for me and give me prices. I have most likely made my last trip to that store. It has been declining for years and I am not happy with asking for a store manager at 2:30 on a weekday. And that manager decided to avoid me and sent a management trainee to handle a problem. Obviously they are so big that they dont care about customer service. And they will tell you what you will pay for something. But you dont dare ask the price... Otherwise you can carry it up there one at a time and get the price... I wish I could give 0 stars but this site wont let me... Step up your game... Huber heights and Englewood have no problems like this and they are only 3 or 4 minutes further away... You truly need a new management staff there from top to bottom. Been a manager in retail for over 30 years and when there is a problem I handle it... I do not pass...
Read moreStaff are rude and not helpful. Went to the service desk and been standing for about 20 minutes, nobody acknowledge me or even try to help. So decided to just do my grocery and just come back on my way out. Then again, been standing and waiting for somebody to help or even say anything. There was a lady that was waiting before me and said she been waiting for about 20 minutes. So we been waiting and finally after 30 minutes one of the cashier said it will take a moment before they can help us. Another 20 mins.had past One of the cashier said she will be right with us as soon as she done with her lane. It's Sat kinda busy l,there's a lot of cashiers but none at the service desk. After 10 mins she came up and help the lady that been waiting longer than me, that needed a money order. After she got done, she starts to help me and until I said that i needed to send a western union. And she said that she can't do western union till later on in the afternoon, even tho I've been waiting for at least an hour and decided not help me coz she said they have 2 call ins already and she needed in the cash register. I can understand if there are no cashiers. But I've seen 4 lanes with cashiers plus bothe self check out lanes are open. So my thing is does it take a lot of time for her help me with western union or she just not familiar with it. Service desk should be staff all thw time, that's why it's a service desk so customer can get help with anything other getting groceries. So disappointed. This is the reason why I prefer going to Huber Heights branch coz I get the help I needed in a matter of time and staff are always courteous and helpful. Thank you anyway for the help that I didn't get. Hopefully in the future customer service...
Read moreThe Northwoods Bakery has totally disappointed me 2 times in 1 week. FIRSTLY, I ordered Bengals cupcakes for my son’s class birthday party. Got the acceptance email and everything. Called a couple hours before I stated in the order that I needed it ready by. Marlene (who I later found out works in the FUEL CENTER?) told me no one works in the bakery and I wouldn’t be getting my cupcakes and there’s nothing she could do about it. I called back and spoke to the store manager Bryan who was VERY kind and ended up making sure my cupcakes got made and I was able to pick up that evening. I was still disappointed in the cupcakes themselves because they were the sloppiest things I’ve ever seen but the kids at school enjoyed them never the less. I also didn’t get the Bengals rings for the top like I ordered however Bryan made sure I got Football rings and 1 bengals helmet for my son. SECONDLY, I had a second order to pick up a few days later which was a Bengals sheet cake for my son’s birthday party. My order stated I needed to pick it up 10/11 by 9am. I got the email stating it was done. Went to pick it up and they said they THREW IT AWAY because we didn’t come and pick it up the day before!? My husband then asked to speak to the manager again which was Bryan again who knew of this order. He again kindly went back himself to check for the cake and it was sitting right in the fridge. Why this lady had to induce panic and totally try to ruin my day and my kids birthday party it’s beyond me. Also- the cake is NOT neatly done and extremely messy and rushed. Needless to say , thank you to the manager Bryan but I will never be ordering from Kroger Northwoods...
