Melissa's / World Variety Produce — Attraction in Vernon

Very Disappointed. I have waited a couple of years to try the PinkGlow Pineapple. It is very expensive so this is why I held off. Finally this year I decided to do it.

I read through the FAQ's very carefully to determinethe delivery date as it is based on the day of the week you order. So I waited until the correct day of the week, during which it the webiste said I would get it on Friday. Perfect! This way we could enjoy it over the weekend when we were home.

Well that was a lie. Everythign said Friday delivery, but then on Friday, FedEx sent me a text saying great news, your package will be delivered on Monday. What????

First I reached out to Melissa's to find out why it was not being delivered on Friday, but no response. Then I called FedEx and they told me that my package was sitting on a truck in Tracy, CA and they could not retireve it and it would be delivered on Monday. Keep in mind that weekend it was 90 degrees, so it was over 100 degrees in the back of a truck for 3 days.

After my package was dleivered on Monday, I received an email response (finally) from Melissa's saying, We see your package was delievered so problem solved.

Because it sat in 100 degree weather for 3 days the quality was bad. The pineapple was already soft and at the end of its life.

Sad that I spent almost $40 to finally try something and I get let down not only by the item but by...

I would give this place a negative star if possible. Been coming here for years , the absolute worst shipper in southern California and I'm not remotely joking, tight docks and the Waite is In sane , that is the least of the dread coming here , the power trip that the lot attendant has is horrible attitude, he gets a kick out of ordering drivers around, very rude , disrespectful and very unprofessional, been driving for 30 years and this one takes the cake , rude to my wife everytime we come , he doesn't need to be in this position. Asked for his name but he insisted he has no name . Shame on you Mr power trip golf cart/ securitysquad . Dock doors are not designed for today's equipment. Truck drivers beware of this place and for Melissa's train your employees to have respect before you end up...

I've been driving 32yrs and picking up here for as long as I can remember yes the people are nice and they have good looking produce but the docks are not bilt for today's tractor trailer combinations it's out dated and the wait to get loaded gets longer every time I'm here over 6hrs so far and they just told me it would be another hour. We'll see.8.5 hrs total and couldn't make my next pick up b4 they closed so I had 2 layover. It's to bad they didn't take out dock doors 11-13 when they put in the new doors and angle the others tward the exit they would have lost the worst doors to back into but would have made it much easier and safer and they could have gained dock space because we wouldn't need as much room to back...
