We were disappointed in the tour of this home. Expecting to gain knowledge regarding the original owners and the true origins of the home, we were given a tour that mostly included the current owners odd collections and current events that have taken place at this property (weddings/parties/ and the like). The hospitality of the owner was amazingly gracious. Her information of the history of the town, and home, was superb. She was thorough to explain the history of the house, and its near ruin, as well as its modern history. Her love for the home, and of the city of Vicksburg, shone brilliantly through every phase of her explanations. I would highly recommend this as a “have to”...
