Plunkett Park — Attraction in Villa Park

While one of the kids is doing some kinda sports around here, I bring the little ones to the play park to burn off some energy. It's a newer park and was rebuilt just a few years ago. You can sit and watch the kids and see the soccer or football games. Just a short walk from the park is the baseball Dimonds and basketball courts, which is also where the washrooms and concession stand are. Sometimes then there is a football and 3 baseball games are going at the same time, Parking can be hard to come by. Court Plus saves a few spots for the ones going to the health club or...

The AstroTurf playground is an amazing feature for kids who are crawling. It's hard to find a park with the kid friendly feature. There's plenty of parking and shady spots to have a picnic. There's lots of picnic tables, benches and grassy areas to play ball in close proximity. The restrooms are a bit far from the park but they are nice.

It has 2 infant swings, 1 accessible seated swing, 2 big kid swings and 1 multi swing with a big kid seat/infant seat...

This whole park is on nice artificial turf and has some very cool swings and climbing and bridges and a giant spinning ball. Great to watch the trains from! And right next to the field where Elmhurst University does football training and such. Update : October 2024 - still nice...
