I started my journey with this gym in April 2024. Overall, it’s a great little spot with plenty of equipment to keep you motivated, and its close proximity to my home made it an ideal place to work out. Unfortunately, I’m moving out of the area due to military obligations. When I approached the front desk to cancel my membership effective 1 July 2025, I was told to call a 1-800 number. After doing so, I followed their instructions and uploaded my military orders. A representative got back to me and said my membership would instead be canceled on 30 September 2025. 😂 Uh, no. I’ll be leaving the state by mid-July, I won’t be here, and I definitely won’t be using the facility. I responded and made it clear that my membership will be canceled as of 1 July, or we’ll escalate the matter. What started as a great experience has now been soured by a ridiculous cancellation policy. Just a heads-up to anyone thinking about signing up: if you ever have to leave, especially for military reasons, be prepared for a headache.

Well I moved and so now I am about 20 miles away so didn't want to continue membership and drive so far. Not under a contract only monthly they will not just stop drafting payment or waive that based on moving out of the area for 2 additional months. Norm in industry is 30 days and some give a waiver for a few reasons 1 is usually if you move so far away from current location. Front desk person whom I had to track down didn't really care either just stated it is the policy based on the contract. I started that membership when that location was still American Bodyworks so don't believe that would still apply nor had I been given a new one either. Because I have a couple of pretty severe health issues my doctors have told me not to go to a gym to work out. I went in and explained this and requested to cancel my membership at least until a vaccine is found. I was told that there is a 60 day cancellation policy. So, although I continued to pay my membership dues while the gym was CLOSED because of the virus, I now have to pay two more months of dues that I can’t even use on the recommendation of my doctors.
